The argument is certainly there for those that think Dejounte Murray is a great player. I lean towards thinking Murray is just a good -- sometimes very good -- player. I wouldn't have given up multiple future protected first-round picks for Murray let alone two unprotected as well as another protected first. That's way too much in my mind and I'm glad Minnesota didn't cash in their assets on him. Give me another season of the status quo before doing that.

Damn, Royce O'Neal is a really solid two-way player. Good get for the Nets.

With the trade demand by KD, I wonder if it will slow down the frantic pace that we have seen FA signings in the past as teams hold off from making deals if they think they have a glimmer of hope of landing a big dog like KD.

Where is that interview video of KAT interviewing KD when KAT was just a boy?

Durant wants to go to the Suns.
Is Ayton and Bridges plus a ton of picks enough???

A Kyrie/Harris/Bridges/Simmons/Ayton lineup isn't bad they just traded for Royce O Neal.
I don't want Durant back in the West though

Deandre Ayton can't be combined with another salaried player in sign-and-trades.

I think that's exactly what will happen. Durant will go to the Suns for Ayton and a boat load of picks. The question then is what that means for the Nets. My guess is that the Nets will quickly pivot to rebuild mode. That likely means trading Kyrie and Simmons as they set themselves up to tank for what is expected to be a stellar 2023 draft class. The Suns currently have all their future 1st and 2nd round picks with no incoming picks. They're clearly in a "win-now" mode. If fact, they are in a "win RIGHT now" mode.
I'm thinking this might be a good time for the Wolves to swoop in with an offer of DLO, Naz and Spagnolo for Simmons. That deal would give the Nets substantial additional salary space next summer and two promising young talents in addition to Ayton and all the future picks they'll likely get from the Suns.

Royce O'Neal is kind of who I want Wendell Moore, Jr. to become some day. Seems like a good deal for Brooklyn.
Kinda random though....are the Jazz really looking to tear things down if they are trading really good role players that compliment stars for first rounders???
