What's the deal? Cam so despondent about Young possibly going away that he can't make it in today?

Am I in the minority on this one? Very disappointed there are no Martin Rumors so far today. And I don't want to give him away, just surprised and disappointed that a contender wouldn't part with a #1 for him.

I don't know if "minority" is the right word, but as the chief officer of the anti-Martin brigade, I know you were hoping for a Martin trade. Despite Flip's comments about keeping him!

Rubio/Jack/LoBrow
Martin/Lavine/Robinson
Wiggins/Shabazz/Hummel
KG/Payne/Bennett
Pek/Dieng

Neal is either traded or bought out. Maybe we add one more big to ride the pine.

I believe it is more advantageous to keep him this year as I see his value going up. He'll still be a sharpshooter next year and will have one less year on his deal. I'd rather see what we add in the off season via FA and the draft then next year use martin as a piece in a package to acquire whichever our greatest need is.

Rubes, his value is only going to go down. That is not even debatable. Now was the best time to move him.

I love that Javale trade for the Sixers. Add another 1st rounder for nothing and still have cap room to add another dumpster fire for another pick, say maybe Bud?

I disagree. He is what he is. No defense, no facilitation. He gets buckets. Instant offense. That play carries better in later years. He will have at least the same value next year. Likely more as obviously nobody is going hard for him right now, but the chips may fall different next year. Maybe 3 teams covet him next year after failing in the playoffs this year.

I'd even be fine keeping him for the duration of his contract. He'd be the ultimate 6th man for us.

Nobody's value increases by the year when you are in your 30's. And at least he's healthy currently. That is always going to be a concern and potential drag on his value in future seasons.
