This rest for Jimmy Butler thing. I can't tell if posters are serious or facetious about Thibs evolving. It's the 3rd game of the fucking season.

If Jimmy Butler isn't in shape... that's on Jimmy Butler. Nobody else.

This is the man who called out Towns and Wiggins repeatedly for being soft. EVERYBODY has bought in on it. Fair enough. Both guys can be classified as "soft" in various ways.

But sitting Game 3 of the season isn't "soft?" Especially when you consider the two guys being identified as soft have played a combined 589 out of 590 games?

Fuck Jimmy Butler. Fuck Tom Thibodeau. And Glen Taylor. And everybody else with this rinky dink 3rd rate organization.

[Note: I take back a lot of that if a trade was imminent... causing the rest. If not... I apologize for not going all in on my critcism. The Wolves and Butler deserve a lot worse.]

I heard that Jimmy didn't even take the flight down. Don't know that for fact, but if true what happened to supporting your teammates.

Supporting his teammates? I don't ask for much. I'd have taken not throwing them under the bus at every single opportunity for the past month.

I was thinking the same thing, Doper. I'd feel much better right now if we had Josh Richardson on this team with an extra first round pick on the way next summer. If we also had Olynyk, I'd be thrilled. If we had Waiters instead, I'd still be content to know the Butler drama is behind us and we have a very talented 25 year old who scored 28 points in his last game and would have likely put us over the top tonight.

JRich went 3/11 tonight for 7 pts.

I think miami was trying to pump his value by trying to show he might be more than just a 3d player to entice the wolves. Its not working.

He can still play a strong complementary role behind thibs' teague and rose offense.

I heard Jimmy say he doesn't lie, and that he doesn't have a problem with his teammates.

A few other thoughts:

- No NBA team is going to win many games with Derrick Rose as the fulcrum of its team. It's fine. It's a nice story. But it's not going to win you games. Today was about the best he can play.
- Good to see the Wolves fine Towns... or Towns realize the season started... in the 4th quarter. At least offensively.
- I believe the Dallas centers shot 87 for 91 fg tonight, or something. And I don't even blame it all on KAT. It seems to happen regularly. I'm a basketball guy, but not good enough to get paid to be one. Is there something in the scheme that hard rollers do SOOOO good against this team?
- That's a lot of three pointers from Dallas. Too many. I'm generally, all in favor of the pace and space game where everybody can shoot. But damn...
- CJ Wilson was beyond terrible. Reminded me of the Wes Johnson game vs. the Wolves last season. Maybe Wilson picked up some tricks from Smilin Wes last season.
- At least Jamal Crawford is gone. Maybe that's the best thing about the Wolves this season.

[Note: This was the first game I've seen. Watched the last 38 minutes. I didn't think the Wolves were going to win during any of it. I'm really really down on this organization right now.]

Good point. He just works hard. And plays to win.

More than anybody else. Ever.

Not sure you want him touching it a lot on offense. That's not exactly his strong suit yet. Transition and catch and shoot 3's is where he should get his touches.

I understand what you're saying and agree. My larger point is we have 1 or 2 guys touch the ball each possession.

So in three games he's had 21, 28 and 7 points. I'd still take him at his age and on his contract, putting the Butler drama behind us and getting an extra 1st round pick to boot.

That still would have been better than Williams.
