Martel Webster looking at making a return to the NBA after being out with a hip injury for the last two seasons. Apparently he's made a complete recovery. 38% career 3pt shooter (although you always deduct 5% for when they become a Wolf).

I saw him working out live recently. My first thought was why? So you just answered that question for me. I hope he makes it back, good guy.

If he is healthy he could play. Is he really healthy and back to what he was? Would you bank on him staying healthy. I'm cheering for him but idk if I would sign him or not.

My irrational interest in Trey Burke on the Wolves has some life! Lol The bad news is it sounds like Bazz is going elsewhere. Still we could end up with Burke the guy we dealt to get Bazz and Dieng! Sweet right? Jk

Other names are Thomas Robinson, Alan Anderson, Perry Jones, Isaiah Canaan and Anthony Morrow. I'd be happy with a combination of any of them to be honest and it shows there are still quality free agents out there fighting for vet min contracts.

Trey Burke, Anthony Morrow and Thomas Robinson would be my pick of the bunch.

I like all three players, but that would leave us with no true SFs to come off the bench. We'd have two SGs in Morrow and Crawford and two PGs in Burke and Jones. Crawford can also play some PG. Yes, Belly can play some SF, but he's much better suited as a stretch 4. And he's coming off foot surgery, which is always dicey. Assuming Bazz signs elsewhere, I'd want Gerald Green along with Morrow and Burke. I like Robinson's rebounding and youth, but I don't think we need another big at the expense of getting more 3-point shooting and a bona fide SF to come off the bench.

Forgot about Gerald Green Lip. But don't forget we have George-Hunt and also Anthony Brown on a two way contract (although realistically don't expect much from either). Definitely like Green on our roster though.

Teague / Jones / Burke
Wiggins / Crawford / Morrow
Butler / Green / Georges-Hunt
Gibson / Bjelica / Patton
Towns / Dieng / Aldrich

Now that's a playoff roster

I didn't see anyone post this before but we did sign Amile Jefferson. Based on what we saw in SL he is just camp fodder and a guy that could be an affiliate player.

Jon K says signs point to Shabazz signing with someone else...no surprise to us here, even though many of us wanted him back. Bazz has always considered himself a starter (and even a potential all star!) and knows he will never be thought of that way here.

So now we are on to other pursuits. Jon said recent tryouts have included T. Robinson, A Anderson, T Burke, I Canaan, A Morrow and P Jones. Nothing to get too excited about, but some decent names to fill out a roster.

I think it's pretty clear NBA teams don't view Bazz as a possible starter. I don't have a problem with him working towards a goal but he may have to look for the best place to have him come off the bench and do something. I honestly don't see many options better than the Wolves and playing for a winner can help your stock. Oh well I wish him the best.
