Other than Pek, he might be the guy I worry the most about staying healthy. He seems to be developing an injury prone susceptibility.

I think its Dieng that doesn't get talked about enough. He blew up in Africa and i don't recall much if any talk about it.

Dieng averaging 25-14-3 through four games with the Senegal national team in Afrobasket. In Dieng's time with Louisville and the Wolves, he's never been more than a complementary part of the offense. It has to be quite an experience for him to be THE focal point on his national team. He's obviously taken full advantage of the opportunity.

Senegal is set to play again today at 1:30 Eastern.

This would be a chance to sell high with Dieng and AB. (IMO)

Well, there is no market for AB, so we're probably stuck with him. And I certainly don't want Flip to attach Dieng to AB as incentive to get rid of him. That's too high of a price.

However, I agree with your broader point on Dieng. There is always a market for a fairly skilled big man, and if anything, I can see continued improvement from him offensively. It may not be a bad idea to trade him before his rookie contract is up, because he is going to cost an arm and a leg, despite his severe defensive shortcomings.

I'd rather trade Bazz than Dieng. If we keep Bazz, he'll probably leave as a free agent or cost us money we need to secure Andrew, Zach and Karl long term. Plus, I don't like giving big money to guys who don't play defense and kill ball movement.

There is no reason to trade either Dieng or Bazz right now. Dieng's value unless he drops off bigtime or gets hurt (which you can say about any player) is gonna be pretty high around the league. A year from now maybe we move him or Bazz if we don't think we can keep them but either of those guys could be the answer at a starting position for this team. What are you going to get back that's worth trading them for?

Gorgui put up 20 pts, 17 rebounds, and 8 assists in another dominant performance.

Sell high!

I don't think we need to be in any hurry to trade Dieng, but I think ultimately Towns becomes a rich man's version of Gorgui. I would love to at some point swap Dieng out of the roster for more of a hard-nosed, defensive type of C/PF that doesn't get pushed around so easily and can play a bit of an enforcer role. Someone like Jeff Adrien!!! But even better of course.

I think I have said it a couple times Q but Dieng seems like a guy that has enough traits he could be so much better on the defensive end if the right coach got a hold of him. Sigh...

Did you see Adrian signed a deal with New Orleans?
