I am starting to really like Murray. Granted, I would love there to be a PF available for us that is worth top 5....but that isn't the reality of this draft. I like Murray for several reasons. The more I watch, the more I see a guy that leverages his strengths. He is great at utilizing his body in the paint. He is an extremely good shooter.....very fundamentally sound. I actually think he will be a better shooter than Buddy by year 2. Seems fairly strong with both hands. Despite his role on Kentucky last season, he is an adept playmaker. PG playmaking....probably not. But certainly a strong combo guard skillset.

I know Ricky will chime in with his defense thing he always does, and I actually agree that this will be the area he struggles at first. He is not a very quick player, and while he gets to the basket well, his lateral quickness just isn't very good. That being said, there just aren't that many guys that excel on defense. He is not alone in his "offense first" skillset.

At 5, I am taking him (over anyone not named Simmons or Ingram). And while I love the 'idea" of Bender, he is too much of an unknown at this point to gamble. We need talent, and while Bender could be that, I don't trust this guy. KP has made everyone all of the sudden forget about every other Euro trash guy that has come into the league since Dirk. Their lack of playing time in those leagues just makes it too difficult to assess talent.

Hicks reasonable skeptism about international players from his last post makes me wonder if there is something out there that compares failure/success rates in the NBA of college players to international players. Maybe someone wants to do a bit of research? It's probably going to be tough to do a fair breakdown but it would be interesting.

Some interesting movement in the latest DX mock draft. Bigs seem on the rise. Bentil has dropped to the middle of the 2nd round.

Camden wrote:Hypothetically speaking, let's say that Sabonis by some chance does fall out of the lottery. I don't think that will happen, but let's play with the idea. Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics have all these first round picks and almost certainly won't come away from the draft with more than two rookies. Actually, it doesn't even have to be Boston, but I named them, so, anyways. You see Sabonis dropping to a reasonable range and you figure it's time to pick up the phone. The other side of that phone call is willing to deal their pick, but the price is one Shabazz Muhammad. Are you making that deal? Because I am.

I hate to say it but I would too

That make me think of Denzel in reference to "He Got Game". Lol I had a poster of Ray Allen back then from that movie but sadly I have never taken the time to watch that film.

Jamal Murray hit 79 out of 100 3 point shots in workout for the Celtics today. I'd take him over Dunn.

Crazy. Good stuff. I can get on board with that type of shooting.

I feel like Buddy is falling out of favor here, so I'm just gonna chip in with a Buddy line. Buddy. He's a better shooter than Murray don't get all giddy over a workout everyone.
