The average of these models project him as the 10th best pick in the draft, but he's projected to actually be picked 27th (not sure what Ford projects). He's probably overlooked in part because he's a senior but some of these models even adjust for year and still project the kid to be really good.

He looks like a legit defending PG who could easily step in for Rubio as a backup and replacement if Rubio goes down again. Biggest drawback is he's not a great outside shooter, which is really what we need. But check out his video breakdowns. Numbers look solid, I like the kid's floor vision, passion, and defensive intensity. And let's be honest, we've got a ton of wings, we'll likely get a very good big with the number 1, and our backup PG spot was a serious problem for us last year that we still don't have a solution for.

Any interest in trying to package some assets to move up to nab him if possible?

I would love to have Wright for all the reasons you mentioned and he should be avalible later in the 1st than Tyus or Grant will be so the cost shouldn't be as steep. I would give up both 2nd rounders to get him or maybe, just maybe, be able to trade Budinger and 31 for him.

Sign me up for Wright too, and I would be in favor of trading any combo of Bud and second rounders to get him. It doesn't concern me that he can't shoot, because I want our backup PG to play tough defense and distribute. I think we are going to have a potent offensive second unit anchored by Martin and Muhammad, and our backup PG doesn't have to be a great shooter.

Exactly, LST. We've got four scoring wings (Wiggins, Bazz, Martin, and LaVine), but so far, none of them has really stood out on defense. Wright would fit well with them. We need more defense, not more scorers. It would be nice if he were a good spot up shooter because we need that in general, but you can't have everything. And Wright looks like he could step in soon and run the offense well. Takes care of the ball. Looking through his profile, he looks like a good fit for what we need. Plus, I just like the kid's hustle in the videos. Watching the Cavs makes me feel like we need somebody who plays with some intensity on defense to set the tone for the rest of the team. This guy seems to do that.
