Great podscast on Vikings OL

They gave hope to Clemmings at RT. Physical profile is perfect to OL.
Agreed they should have tried moving Boone to LT.
Like LT Riley Reiff would be a solid pick up. Remmers would be a solid RT and might be a good value.

Solid would be a huge upgrade for this team.

Clemmings is garbage. He's been garbage for two straight years. The hope just has to stop. He gets beat by the most basic rushing techniques. He's one of if not the the worst tackle in football. If you want to try him at guard fine. But he's the backup's backup as a development project. He can't play tackle.

I am pretty much in that mindset. You can't go into the year with him at the backup to any starters at this point.

Berger is the most sure thing and best lineman on the entire roster which is probably a bit sad no disrespect to Berger. He isn't gonna be backing anyone up unless some young dudes go nuts improving. I could see Berger at RG though.

I am guess that is where he play too. I think him and Boone are the only sure things at this point.

Good news. FA tackles seem to be falling out of the sky. Should keep price down on a guy like Kalil if they want to resign him.

Okung was the latest. If just seems like everyday someone cuts a tackle.

This makes it sound like it will be bad because everyone needs one.

Thanks Bleed. Sometimes I think it's better when there are more options because that means some guy might end up being left out or available that's just what you are looking for especially for the price. Yeah it might mean Kalil isn't quite as sure as a possible backup plan but that may not be a bad thing.

I am a Clemmings optimist but I agree he shouldn't be planned on for anything other than what you guys have said a developmental backup. He has to prove he can be more.

The good news is the guy is cheap turned 25 in November has started 30 games in the NFL and you can cut him if someone is better and it doesn't hurt you financially. He is the type of guy you like to be working with you in the offseason and bringing to camp...and see what shakes out. You don't plan your FA and roster makeup and drafting around guys like that. It didnt seem like they did that with him last year either.
