Wolves have clinched at least the play in.

Pelicans lost so wolves control their destiny to make 7-8 play in.

More could go right tonight

Here are the Wolves' last 9 wins:
@Clippers
@Lakers
@Kings
@Hawks
@Knicks
Hawks
@Warriors
@Kings
@Nets

Yet in that same timespan, they lose 5 out of 6 home games, including a historically embarrassing loss to the Blazers.

They live on the knife's edge between being a top 8 NBA team and a dysfunctional group of underachievers that could implode into the abyss of Minnesota sports infamy. They can't seem to decide which path to take.

This I know.....they can't be trusted.

I gotta tell you, Q. I thought we were going to lose you for good after that Blazer loss! ;-)

The KOM has the Wolves and Lakers tied for the 7th seed. If the Lakers beat the Clippers tomorrow night, then the Wolves would be tied with the Clippers for the 7th seed. In both cases, tie breaker goes to the Wolves.

Clippers at Wolves for the 7/8 play-in game? Deja Vu? :-D

[Edit: On a side note, Warriors final game is at Portland. Could Portland do us a favor? A Blazer win might put the Wolves in a 3-way tie for 6th! But I am getting ahead of myself... ]

Yeah, I was watching it too and hoping Utah could pull it out. No Lauri, Kessler, Clarkson or Gay, and they still almost did it. LeBron is pretty amazing at age 38. He played 38 minutes and still had enough left in the tank to score 7 out of 9 Laker OT points.

I don't know that it matter much though. If we win our last two games, we finish 8th and get two chances to make the playoffs. We'll win one of those two games, and I'm not intimidated by either Denver or Memphis.

This could be fun...

Wolves off until Saturday now and have a back to back. Not the greatest scheduling.

Here is the scenarios.

Wolves officially can't do worse than the 9 seed.

If the wolves win out they can do no worse than the 8 seed.

The wolves can get to the 6 seed in these scenarios if 2 of these 3 scenarios happen.

LAC goes 1-2 or worse: LAL, Por, @Phx
LAL goes 1-2 or worse: @LAC, Phx, UTA
Warriors go 0-2: @SAC, @POR

Wolves will more than likely be the 8 or 9 seed, decent chance at the 7, if they win out. Outside chance at the 6 and a miracle at the 5 (still mathematically possible).

Thanks for this kekgeek...great work. I love the fact that we control our destiny to finish at least 8th, but 6th or 7th would obviously be better. My head is spinning trying to figure out who I'm going to cheer for when our closest competitors face each other, but my initial thought is I want the Lakers to beat the Clippers Wednesday night. The more teams that end up with 42 wins (where the Wolves are likely to end up) the better for the Wolves.
