No.

70 mil dollars for 1/5 total shot attempts. Even though the 1 made shot by DLO and the last 4 fts by Gobert were key in the win, the team shouldn't even be in that position against that Miami squad. It's difficult to comprehend.

This team has no idea how to utilize Gobert.

That's the most frustrating thing for me. Whether it is Gobert, his teammates or the coaches, it is criminal that Gobert didn't get a FGA until the end of the game.

I think this team has the potential to be pretty awesome, but they sure are taking their time getting there... :-(

Among the five-man units that have played at least 50-minutes over their last five games, Minnesota's starters rank third in offensive rating, fifth in defensive rating, third in net rating, third in defensive rebounding percentage, and third in effective field goal percentage as well as true shooting percentage.

Patience is being rewarded. Some of you might not recognize it (yet), but this team is showing signs of figuring out who they are and playing high-level basketball after a wonky, slow start to the season.

Update:

Minnesota's starting five has a +21.7 net rating in in the 96 minutes played together over their past six games -- 125.3 ORtg, 103.6 DRtg. They're also on a four-game winning streak.

The NBA is as talented as it's ever been, and winning is more difficult than it's ever been no matter the opponent. The fact that this team is beginning to string together wins, albeit ugly at times, while also significantly improving as a starting unit can't be overlooked or dismissed. Things are objectively looking better and better with each game.

Tonight it was Jaden McDaniels coming alive and making his mark, which they'll need from time to time. It was Minnesota struggling against zone defense and just finding a way to score enough points and get enough stops. They did that. Job well done. On to the next one.

Yes, but last year's team was a very young team coming off a lottery finish the previous season. This year's team is more experienced, added a player they mortgaged their future to acquire. Moreover, this team is coming off a 46-win session. Add to that the fact that the Wolves have played a weak schedule so far this season and I just don't see how last season's poor start has any relevance to evaluating this season's team. I'm glad we're two games better than this point last season. But the team's record thus far under the circumstances is s big disappointment, especially given other troubling signs like poor ball movement and poor rebounding.

Same KAT as usual. High offensive output, low BB IQ. I guess we can take the good with the bad.

I think that's right, Cool. And it's far more good than bad. But it's really frustrating to watch KAT try to bully his way to the basket one-on-one against Lowry instead of simply going straight up with an easy close-range shot, which KAT typically hits. He's so close to being a Jokic-caliber star, but his low basketball IQ keeps getting in the way. But he's still a great player and he's clearly the Wolves best player right now. We have to hope that Ant becomes the team's best player, but that hasn't happened yet.

I love the improvement we're seeing from McDaniels. He seemed to take yet another step forward tonight. There's a future star in that guy if he and the coaching staff can just unlock it. He plays hard and he's a serious dude. I'm excited to see how good he becomes by the end of this season and then over the next couple seasons.

It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was a fun game to watch. Ant can be so amazing and frustrating at the same time. The perils of youth.

Just a heads up Rudy wants the fans to stop booing

Anthony Edwards has a similar message:

"Yeah I love the crowd, man. Tell them, 'Hey y'all, if y'all listening to this, keep coming, showing us love, stop booing us. We're going to give you everything we got, man. We trying."

Dane Moore and Kyle Thiege brought up a solid point about how Mike Conley really struggled to get it going with Rudy when he moved to Utah. I think we are all seeing Rudy isn't a plug and play offensive player whatsoever. I know many here believe that talent trumps all when it is said and done in the NBA so we should have faith that the talent here will figure it out.

I get this. A bit crazy for Wolves fans to have super high expectations at this point. We're coming. Kyle Lowry and Bam are no slouches, this was a good game and good win.

I get Wolves fans' frustrations, but Rudy and Ant are right. Booing the home team should be reserved for lack of effort, not lack of performance. The things Wolves fans seem to be booing are things that happen during any game. Getting blown out the way they did against the Knicks? Boo the night away? Tonight? They won. Onto the next game.
