So, Q. Are you beginning to believe that Towns will be the guy?!?

I'm listening to today's Funkadelic right now. Flip, of course, is not showing his hand...

As I've said before, I'm counting on the boy to convince him. And if they do work him out - which I think is a useless endeavor as most of you know - I'm hoping we get lucky and he hits everything he throws up.

I think at first i had convinced myself i would be fine with okafor russell or towns. It must have been a damn coping mechanism though as the closer we get to the draft the more absolute terror strikes me that we could possibly select anyone other then Towns. Please somebody set my mind at ease that flip is for sure taking towns so i can sleep these next few nights. Anybody?

Can't help you there! LST or Tim are probably the appropriate purveyors of positive thinking and reassurance.

I always thought that Towns made more sense for Flip but you couldn't ignore the reports about Wolves liking Okafor or whatever but the last few days it sounds like Towns is the guy. That's the way I thought it was going to go. Looking forward to listening to funkadelic today.

Ha! I'm hoping the pick is Towns too, but I'm working on what I'm going to post to get people off the ledge if Flip goes a different direction. Okafor and Russell are such terrific players, it won't be too difficult for me to justify the pick.

But I still want Towns.

I didn't take good cliff notes, but...

The first part was a discussion of the Finals. Flip was pretty adamant that Love would have prevented the Warriors from going small. And he thought LeBron was just too worn out after the first four games.

Not to be a downer, but some of the draft talk had Flip talking about deciding if a players positives out-weigh their negatives, or at least projected negatives. He talked about evaluating if a player has a skill that is top-5, top-10, top-20, etc. in the league and what that may do for your team. And how a player meshes with your roster is important as well.

There was a discussion on the likelihood of acquiring another first round pick. Flip couldn't put percentages on it, but did say he didn't believe they had the assets to move into the top 18. He said they identify the player(s) they might be willing to move up for, but once you get much past 18, maybe that player will make it to you at 31...

So, no big news, but I always find it entertaining to listen to Flip talk about the Wolves!

That has Okafor written all over it! Ryan has failed miserably!

Kittens will no longer be cute, Mother Theresa was a mobster, and we're all going to die!

Please for the love ..... Dont set this franchise back by taking okafor. It would seem as if the cycle of no defense big men would just continue. Damnit flip. We have the number one pick so who the hell are we taking already.
