Heh, hard to imagine him being around next year. And I think he'll happily go almost anywhere else.

I don't remember that moment in the game...what's happening in that clip?

I think people are being too critical of Kevin's contributions last night. He had as many combined points and rebounds as turnovers and fouls.

When I remember how badly this board was going after Thaddeus Young when he had bad regular season game, I guess Kevin has got some heat from fans about games like this or that 3 pts and 4 brs game in Toronto series. Young was pretty easy scapegoat for Minnesota fans even though Wolves had not even traded their 1st overall pick for Young.

Irving plays a lot of hero ball and plays terrible defense. Not much to like about his game as far as I'm concerned.

How about Love's 2 pts and 3rbs tonight in 33mins? I think Love has an impact game at some point this series. I would be kind of sad if he didn't only because it would probably be one of the worst cases of a negative turn around that I have ever seen with a star player. Sure he had a concussion but this is crazy.

Yeah, he was awful last night. Boy, there must be times when he really misses Ricky Rubio. He literally gets no easy baskets anymore. He really needs to go back to his roots and try to dominate the glass. I think spending all this time hanging out on the perimeter has softened him up.

Agreed, but when he gets it going like he did last night it's pretty damn impressive. The problem is everything falls to pieces if his shot isn't going down because everyone else is stagnant and his defense is always a question mark.

I disagre that he was awful. Should he have done more? Yeah I think so but I think he was actually solid. Defensively he made an impact a number of times. He didn't get rebounds like you expect but Lebron had a ton and his team was even in that category. He didn't score much but he had 2 teammates go for over 40. I do feel bad for Love. He bought on and deserves some of the criticism so I'm not crying for him (pretty much moved on from Love) or anything but like he said the other day it just never seems like it's ever enough.

Q I think you are onto something about him being on the perimeter hurting his rebounding. In addition TT does a lot of the rebounding role he was used to having. To be the bottom line is that 50-75% of the time (when I watch games) he just doesn't seem to fit in well. Love is a terrific offensive talent and he basically gets treated like he is Ryan Anderson. That's a shame and a poor use of him IMO.

I am sure there is some degree of difficulty in figuring out how to get Lebron, Kyrie and Love all to synergize but it continually feels like Love gets the short end of the stick to some extent. It's hard for me to believe Love's offensive game has sorta just gone away but I suppose it's possible the lack of volume hurts him when it comes to his efficiency which is the opposite of what I expected. Love needs to give them more going forward on this journey (beyond this season) and they need to find more ways to utilize him.

I think it's almost a certainty that the Cavs trade Love this summer. Probably a good thing for him since they have no clue how to incorporate him in the offense.

+18 in 33 minutes last night. Only behind Irving's +20 for the team lead.

I assume it's because of his stellar defense. After all, GSW shot only 36% and the "bigs" combined to shoot 3 - 23 fg for Golden State.

Yep, Love was plus 18 and Klay Thompson was a minus 21 last night. We all disagree on many topics on this board, but there's one fact I think we can all agree on...Kevin Love was 39 points better than Klay Thompson last night. The numbers don't lie! :)

It's baffling to me. When Love was here, he had so many open looks, but every time he gets the ball in this series he has someone right in his face and his only move is to quickly get rid of the ball. It's counterintuitive, because he was option #1 in Minnesota, and option 3 or 4 with the Cavs. You would think he would have far more open looks with the Cavs.

I'm glad you saw the facetiousness in my post.

But there's a bit of truth in there too. It's easy to rip Love, especially defensively. And that's fine. But what about when he does a credible job defensively? Is it fair to ignore it while we just rip his offense?

And then wait to rip his defense when he plays well offensively? The guy is completely lost offensively. He's just not a good fit standing around waiting for the ball. And he's not better than Irving and James so he doesn't always deserve the ball. AND he's not doing anything with it when he does get it.

All that being said... he hasn't checked out defensively. Should he be commended for it? Dunno. But I think it should at least be noted amid all the Love sucks balls discussion.

Having him stand on the perimeter and be a spot up 3 point shooter is such a waste of his abilities. I understand he's not the most popular ex-Wolf, but he did a lot of things offensively for us. He could score outside, from mid-range, and on the block. He had an array of good post moves, and he was a terror on the offensive glass. His career is taking a big hit in these playoffs and I wonder it there is any regret about forcing his way out of here.
