Milsap broke a toe last night, and Gary Harris has been ruled out for 3 to 4 weeks with a hip injury. Those are a couple of tough losses.
He broke his toe, yet he's listed as day to day....really? I would think he would be out a while (crosses fingers and feels a pang of guilt...).

Q12543 wrote:Is it me or are injuries down this year? Some of what might make the West even more competitive than usual is that most teams seem relatively healthy. Last year Denver was missing Milsap and the Clippers were missing Gallinari. These two guys are really, really good players.
Q don't jinx us. Covington was added to the injury report today with knee soreness

Yup, Thibs has worn down Covington in a mere 11 games... ;-)

Hopefully Covington's knee soreness is a very temporary thing. He's arguably been our most impactful player since the trade. Man, his ability to strip balls without fouling is really impressive. Super quick accurate hands. I can't seem to find a stat for forced jump balls, but he's gotta be a league leader in that too. He's basically every bit the defender Jimmy Butler is, but he's longer and spaces the floor more on offense. I think we should mentally prepare for when his shot isn't falling though, because he has gone through some long, cold shooting stretches in his career (had him on my fantasy team a couple years ago and he started the season cold as ice). But regardless, I really love the energy he brings overall.
Of course, I also love the idea of Okogie getting minutes, I just wish we could do it by going from a 9 to a 10 man rotation.

Woj reported theybwpuld know more when they got back to Denver so that might be why he is listed "Day to day" because there is no update without a new diagnosis. Barton might be back in the not super distant future. With Harris and Millsap out for a few weeks that surprising Nuggets D might take a big hit.

Looks like firing Hoiberg didn't do the trick.

Man things are looking bad over there. Jimmy has been gone for over a year and the drama that's being reported is bigtime. Months ago Gar Forman was trying to draw up plays as the GM. Today Players were texting whether to show up for practice or not. Boylen going all vintage Bulls Thibs on these guys with practices. I don't know how much of this is true but...not looking good and yeah they lost by 56.

Theres no transition, and zach is in the middle of this.
One of the reasons hoiberg was fired was because he let the players, especially zach do whatever he wanted and often ignored hoibergs plays.
Boylen came in and did a 180 and wanted to impose strict rules. Of course the players are going to fight it. Zach and boyle got into an argument on the court the game before. Boylen wanted run a play drawn while zach wanted to do his own thing. Zach did make the shot though in this instance. And now this.
Boylen is trying to show management he is the anti-hoiberg.
