I actually really like Durant.
Also another game 7 stinker for Harden. I understand that he is dealing with an injury

No doubt. Great to see Brooklyn lose, despite Bud's incompetence.
I still consider the Clippers pretty damn close to a super team versus being more organically built, but I can't help but like Kawhi and and their coach Lue. Plus they have always played second fiddle to the Lakers.
I feel the same way about the Clippers. In fact, the fact that I like them so much made me forget that they are, in fact, a super team. But in addition to liking Kawhi and Lue, I like the fact that both Paul George and Kawhi choose the stepchild Clippers over the favorite son Lakers. Kawhi, in particular, chose not to join LeBron, but instead, blaze his own trail by choosing the Clippers. Moreover, going to LA was going to their home state.

Great game though. Thanks for back and forth mini GDT Q. Have good night everyone. Durant is the best basketball player in world.
Stay well Jester!

Now go look at Holiday's shooting....Yikes!
Harden is my least favorite player in the NBA. I am SO glad to see him get denied once again.
And if he wants to have fewer injury issues, may be he should look to lose 25 lbs. He looks fat and sloppy. And get rid of that stupid beard.
(end of rant - him, Irving, and Durant just bug the shit out of me).

Just watched some highlights this looked like an epic game. Obviously happy the bucks won. Why is Jrue a worthwhile player? I see the shooting stats and he clearly struggled by the posted here but he chipped in 7 rebounds 8 assists and 1 turnover.
I'll say this about Durant he looks absolutely terrific and honestly he looks skinnier than he was a couple years ago which probably is good for him to be honest with the injuries he has had to his lower body.
I do think if the stuff about Harden living quite the life off the floor during the season at least in the past is true that might be catching up to him. Before he was pretty much playing a ton so probably nobody could really tell him to do anything different. This season might be a bit of a wake up call. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Nets. I've always thought the whole thing could blow up with all those weird personalities. I thought injuries were something that would detail them from a championship this year. Kinda looking forward to the rest of this playoffs.

What a relief, the Bucks finally get over in a game 7 on the road. I had very low expectations coming into this series, because the Bucks have come up short so many times since 1974. They're like the Vikings of the NBA. But now they have a chance to win it all. Their defense is going to be a problem for anybody they end up playing. Middleton and Holiday need to help Giannis offensively though. I expect Middleton to struggle in bright light moments, but I'm really disappointed in Jrue this series. He is better than that, and he needs to be huge moving forward.

I believe he will bounce back. Guys struggle in series sometimes and then really come on.

Yes. Maybe Jrue can step up in this next series and help Giannis and Middleton take the Bucks to the NBA finals.

What a game! Fun to read the GDT this morning, as I agreed with most of the sentiments. I also saw little chance for the Bucks to win in OT after not prevailing in regulation...psychologically devastating...really gutsy performance, and so happy to see them beat the Nets. Some other thoughts:
1) Yes, like him or not, Durant is the greatest in the world right now.
2) How about some love for Lopez in Q4 and OT? How many times did he keep offensive possessions alive with his (and Tucker's) tap outs? And his block on Durant was epic!
3) I have to admit I got a kick out of the Nets' fans counting to 13 or 14 during Giannis' free throws.
4) I don't share the belief that Tucker shouldn't have been guarding Durant all game. Tucker is a 1-way player who is able to save all his energy for defense. And Giannis expends so much energy on the offensive side, Bud needs to give him easier assignments on defense. Tucker lacks height, but you can't underestimate what a toll his physical play had on Durant...I don't think anyone would want to have PJ on him all game! Durant scored 48 efficient points, but his shooting percentages were actually considerably below his averages, and PJ has to take some credit for that.
5) As great as this game was, fans of ball movement must have hated it. I don't know if I've ever watched 53 minutes of one-on-one basketball before.
6) I admire Harden's toughness and desire to win...he showed me some things on defense last night I haven't seen often from him. But I actively cheer against him, so I was happy to see another bad game from him.
7) I missed the first half so I didn't see how awful Jrue must have been. But you have to admire his willingness to take and make big shots in the 4th quarter. And yes, I trade DLO for Jrue in a second, despite him being 6 years older.
8) So great to see a Superteam lose in the semis...I think must of us thought it was a foregone conclusion they were going to coast to the championship after Kawhi went down. But let's not kid ourselves. The Nets win this series in 5 if Irving and Harden are healthy.

The bucks were also missing Donte D who obviously isn't on the level of the Nets injured players but he is a legit starting player.
The reality is if you are going to commit to Kyrie as part of your team you are taking a chance on him being healthy. Generally speaking the chances of him being healthy in the playoffs when it really matters..are not something I would want to count on.
