I watched the 2nd half of the Raps win today. That was more of the team I was expecting to see coming into the season. Biyambo is making himself a nice paycheck for this offseason. It was weird how it seemed like Miami was just not up to the task in this game. Winslow is a nice player. Miami has a lot of questions about its roster but it does have some youth. It will be interesting to see what Pat Riley can do this summer.
I couldn't help but chuckle a little at the fact that Anthony Bennett wasn't on the Raps to play a few meaningless minutes when the benches were cleared. It would have also been a nice story for him to be around for the best run for his hometown franchise.
Who wins the championship

Kiwi go ahead and brag all you want, damn Adams as been huge
Re: Who wins the championship
I just checked the score and while I am not surprised OKC won this game (because GS had a bit of a layoff and hasn't played with Steph a lot the past couple weeks) it's still make me say "wow". It looked like OKC pretty much stayed big and GS went small and again OKC beat an opponent on the boards. I was saying this afternoon that was going to be an interesting thing to watch because OKC basically beat the Spurs at their own game of having a big front court. They are least have one game where they came out on top what happens next? I don't think we are gonna be robbed of a great matchup by not having it be the Spurs GS the way OKC is playing.

Is this the part where i say "I told you so" :thumb:
He's playing with a nasty looking sprained hand as well that makes it all the more impressive.
This is going to be a great series.

In Australia, we have a habit that, any time a New Zealander makes it on an international stage, we claim them as Aussies. Adams is close enough to Australian isn't he?

If I know anything about Kiwis... I'm sure they just love when Aussies do that. Ahem...

Re: Who wins the championship
So Durant goes 10 - 30 fg and misses 7 straight in the final six minutes.
Westbrook shoots 7 - 21 fg.
Curry, Green and Thompson had decent shooting games (29 - 67 fg)... and OKC still won in Golden State.
Oh oh. Is Dion Waiters really going to be a plus player for a Finals team? Holy Antoine Walker... things are getting weird!

Some random thoughts on the series:
- So Lamarcus Aldridge had to go to SA to get to the same place the Blazers did? Good call LA.
- No way is Kawhi Leonard the 2nd best player in the game.
- OKC has to get a split in the first two games against GS, or they can't win the series. I don't think they can do it. GS in 5 or 6.
- Extremely myopic thinking in the first note about Aldridge. Next up, you're going to claim the Toronto Raptors (or Miami Heat) are a better team that SAS because they made the ECF.
- I was impressed with Leonard. 2nd best overall player? Dunno... James is there. Durant is there. Even Westbrook. Paul? Even if he's not the 2nd best... I think he's right in the mix in the top 5. 2nd in MVP doesn't necessarily mean 2nd best player. There are subtle differences there...
- OKC played great defense after Game 1... where they were embarrassingly bad. They need that type of sustained effort defensively to make it a series vs. GSW.
On point one - The concept of irony lost on you? Of course I'm not saying the Blazers are on par with the Spurs, but they did end up in the same place. Lamarcus left for supposedly a much better chance at a championship. Fact is, he's exactly what the Blazers need to really be a big factor in the West.
On point two - Curry is better, James is better, Durant is better, Davis is better. Wade, Westbrook, and Lillard might be better. And Wall, Harden, Green and Paul are in the same class.
Leonard is better than wade, paul, and lillard for sure. You have to be joking with the Wall, Harden, and Green bit. Leonard is top 5 or 6 in the NBA, and you can argue that with his age and what he provides overall that he's better than any of those other 4-5 players in the top 5-6. For our team i'd take him before LeBron and Davis. The only other choice for me is Curry. Funny, they finished 1 and 2 in mvp votes.
Re: Who wins the championship
Loved that game last night. Best part of the night was Durant grabbing that board at the end when OKC was up three. He tried to hand the ball off to Westbrook and he wouldn't take it. It looked like Russ told him to go take the shot, he did and made it. Those two have taken a lot of flack but I think they're great together.
