Time to work on other ideas. I still like the Celts deal with all their picks in the next few years.

If Flip or any GM makes a decision based on the summer league for someone clearly with a roster spot already then they should not be a GM. Anthony Randolph would be a max player.

Josh Selby was the MVP of summer league 2 years ago. Who is that you ask? I have no idea

I don't think people take as much out of summer league play as you do

This is a special case. If he's great in SL, there really is no way they can trade him.

The latest is Cleveland offering other assets and trying to involve a 3rd team to make it palatable for Minny. I remain convinced, Wiggins isn't happening.

It's pretty easy to trade for a top 10 player and explain why you did it. I don't see how summer league can tell them Wiggins will be better than Love. It's 3 games. That's not enough to judge anything. If he was untouchable, they would have signed him already. Signing him is the only thing they can do to kill the deal and even that only kills it for 30 days.

I don't see the third team doing any good. You either have the assets or you don't. Are they going to trade Bennett and Dion to GS for Klay?

Steven Kyler did an interiview on Hoopshype, and he seems to think that Flip is still looking for win now pieces, and isn't even sure if Wiggins is enough to get him to pull the trigger.

Is that your heart talking or your head? I have to believe it's your heart.

Why haven't they signed him if he's not going to be on the table? Until that happens, my head says he's going to be on the table.

That's the only thing I can't explain. How pissed would you be at Flip if passes on the guy? I just can't believe he's that dumb. He's actually made few mistakes since he came back.

Wiggins not being signed could be for 2 reasons.
1) to give a tad more cap flexibility for filling the roster out.
2) to keep the possibility of a trade open w/o having to wait a month.

Wiggins isn't on the table just like Thompson isn't on the table. Why? They are low balling the Wolves which is what any team does in this situation until their hand is forced.

Personally I think right now that tactic is stupid b/c once the top FAs are off the market it will leave a lot of teams that will take a shot at acquiring Love. Unfortunately it sounds like Pau may be signing with the Bulls which could take them out of the Love running. Either way it seems teams are waiting it out to see where the chips lands before getting serious about trading for Love.

Good post Grey. Obviously I believe your first reason is the main one.
