Ugh, he just has a hard time putting a clean game together. It does look like he was super productive in the limited minutes he was able to play. And most importantly, DR came out with the win. DR is pretty impressive as an overall team, 3-0 now in Group play.

Good! Hopefully he is sulking over France's embarrassing exit on top of the disappointing season with the Wolves and comes into camp highly motivated.

I'm ecstatic, but more importantly, I haven't seen KAT this happy since his rookie year. Hope he carries this energy to the season.

Technically France isn't done playing, but he might be since they don't need to qualify.

China on the other hand, if nobody from Asia qualifies, the 17-32 bracket breathes new life into China's Olympic hopes, so Kyle might have to keep playing.

Spagnola hardly playing for Italy. If he can't even get off the bench of team Italy, then he has no chance of being a backup NBA point guard. Not sure what happened, as he plays a much more prominent role on his club team. Disappointed he isn't getting more run.

I do remember that Spagnolo was injured and that's why he didn't play in Summer League, so maybe they're being cautious (and outside of the game vs DR they haven't really needed extra help).

I do wish he'd get more PT.

Asia has won 1 game so far in this tournament. The entire continent. On top of that, Africa might not get a single team to the next round either. The rest of the tourney is effectively 14 teams fighting for 3 spots (because Australia gets an automatic bid if New Zealand doesn't advance and we'll assume USA advances, so 2 Euro spots and 1 America spot up for grabs)

I also want to say Spagnolo wasn’t projected to make the team coming into camp for Italy. His play earned him a roster spot. Also of the 9 guys who saw the court today for Italy 8 of them are 27 or older. Spagnolo is only 20. These international teams love experience.

Who knows if Spagnola ever makes the nba (I’m guessing he doesn’t), I wouldn’t put much stock into him not getting many/if any minutes on this Italy team because he wasn’t supposed to be here in the first place and he earned a spot

I'll give KAT this sliver of positive news. There was a critical possession where he risked foul #5 and took a charge and that led to a DR bucket at an important time.

2/19 3PT

15/28 FT

and Bruno Fernando fouling out did Angola in.
Feliz has been so good this tournament. Angola needed to beat DR by 14 to lock a spot up in the next round, they got everything they needed with Kat foul trouble and they could not capitalize

Canada dominates again. They could be a problem for the U.S.

NAW with not the most efficient or productive game, but played a ton of minutes and was 4/11 on 3's. Love seeing him take that shot in volume and gaining confidence as a shooter. That's big for him.
