It was never a good trade and if we trade Rudy, without him winning a title here, its going to be a terrible trade. Whether or not Utah capitalizes on the assets they acquired isn't how to assess the trade, its the lost opportunities the Wolves gave up either in the draft or trade market by not having all those assets and having Rudy's crippling salary take away free agent opportunities and taking away roster construction flexibility. I said it was terrible when it was made and unless Rudy brings us a title, no amount of spinning, will make this a good trade.Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:43 pmWhat does Utah have to show for it? It was a good trade at the time and I still think it was a good trade. But there always comes a time to move on.KG4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:40 pmRudy's an Albatross?? Your boy TC gave up a sh*tload of assets (Kessler, 3 FRPs, swap) just to get him and you want to dump him now. How the h*ll can u love TC as much as you seem to do and not acknowledge how ridiculously stupid that trade was?Coolbreeze44 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:08 pm I think we're missing half the story in this thread. We're focusing entirely on the pros and cons of KD. What about the pros of ridding ourselves of Rudy, Randle or both? Opportunities to jettison those guys may not come around again. In the deal involving the Nets we could move both in one shot. To me that is a huge proposition. I acknowledge the contributions both made, particularly Rudy, but I can't discount the feeling we would have a better chance for the next couple years and then benefit from KD's expiring. Personally I think Ju, and Ru are currently a couple of albatrosses we will have to deal with sooner than later.
Kevin Durant Rumors

Re: Kevin Durant Rumors
The Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets are 15-time All-Star Kevin Durant's preferred trade destinations out of Phoenix, sources tell ESPN. Those across the NBA have been made aware in recent days that those are the three teams that Durant would commit to long-term.
Re: Kevin Durant Rumors
Claxton turned 26 in April so he is still young but even later in this season I thought to myself should the Nets move him for what they can get for him? Idk what his value is maybe there isn't enough value for them to move him now or this off-season but the Nets seems like they are pretty far away from arriving. They don't have anyone that I can think of that's anywhere near a star player. In a couple years he will be a center in his late 20's maybe that will have value at whatever point they are at but moving him might make some sense if they can get good value back. I would assume the Lakers are a team that would be plenty interested.
Re: Kevin Durant Rumors
Hopefully, that means Wolves are out on Durant. Given how badly TC was shafted on the Rudy trade, I have no desire to see TC give up too many assets for a rapidly declining, injury prone and expensive asset.BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:53 pm Per Shams just now, Spurs, Rockets and Heat are the only teams he will commit to long term
Re: Kevin Durant Rumors
I still want to see Wolves get Lonzo Ball if it only costs us somebody like DDV, sign and trade NAW or Conley plus a pick. I'd also like us to add Tre Jones whether or not we get Ball. Conley could be let go or stay as a Dilly mentor/cheerleader and join the coaching staff as early as next year.

So you’re telling me we just wasted 18 pages of deliberation for nothing?!?BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:53 pm Per Shams just now, Spurs, Rockets and Heat are the only teams he will commit to long term

Re: Kevin Durant Rumors
I do like Claxton as he matches Ant and Jaden's timeline much more than Rudy. If Rudy goes, the Wolves better have someone like Claxton protecting the rim. NAZ is not a rim protector and never will be one.Monster wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:56 pm Claxton turned 26 in April so he is still young but even later in this season I thought to myself should the Nets move him for what they can get for him? LOL. This officially confirms that Bloop is not an Oracle and that you aren't Tim Connelly making Bloop look like an Oracle.60WinTim wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 9:03 pmSo you’re telling me we just wasted 18 pages of deliberation for nothing?!?BloopOracle wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 8:53 pm Per Shams just now, Spurs, Rockets and Heat are the only teams he will commit to long term![]()
