Final playoff stats among the guys that have played more than 150 minutes (excludes DDV, Bones, and SloMo):
Top 3 Wolves in PER (PER uses the box score exclusively so volume stats like scoring matter):
1. Ayo - 17.9
2. Ant - 15.3
3. Conley - 14.9
Bottom 3 Wolves in PER:
1. Julius - 10.6
2. TSJ - 11.2
3. Jaden - 12.9
Top 3 Wolves in Win Shares per 48 minutes (balanced metric that looks at volume stats and efficiency):
1. Conley - .159
2. Ayo - .146
3. Naz - .093
Bottom 3 Wolves in Win Shares per 48 minutes:
1. Julius - (.015)
2. TSJ - .032
3. Ant - .036
Top 3 Wolves in Net Rating (Points per 100 possessions while on the floor minus opponent points per 100 possessions):
1. Conley (1.6)
2. TSJ (2.1)
3. Naz (3.5)
Bottom 3 Wolves in Net Rating:
1. Ant (11.4)
2. Ayo (11.0)
3. Randle (8.0)
Top 3 Wolves in Net On/Off Rating (Net Rating difference of team while player is on vs. off the floor):

- Just a massively disappointing playoffs for Randle and Ant, including the Denver series. Ant has an excuse, but even if hobbled he should have been able to contribute more than he did.
- Rudy and Jaden were the Co-MVPs of the Denver series, but then were rendered useless against the Spurs. Rudy was mostly unplayable and Jaden was mediocre at best. I can understand Rudy getting played off the floor, but Jaden's performance is especially disappointing for a guy that usually rises to the occasion.
- Ayo is another guy that had a star turn against Denver, but was simply awful against the Spurs. 36% FG and 28% 3pt for the series.
- Mike Conley of all people may have been our best playoff performer on a per minute basis. We know that if he had been exposed for 25+ MPG things would be a lot different, but he deserves credit for giving quality minutes in the shorter stints he was given. He showed a lot of pride.
- TSJ showed the usual flashes of hope, but in the end he simply missed too many shots. It wasn't good enough from an older 2nd year player with a ton of physical advantages.
- One bright spot was Naz Reid. After a really bad start against Denver, he ended up with his best playoff performance of his career. He really improved his defensive rebounding this past season, especially in the playoffs.

So, the net rating mystery for Ayo continues...
And when Randle is bad, he is REALLY bad!

I think pretty much anyone that spent significant minutes in the starting lineup in the Spurs series took a hit in net rating. They also happen to play the least "non-Jokic and non-Wemby" minutes, so none of our starters did well in Net Rating. Notice how our three main bench guys performed best in Net Rating....a lot of that has to do with not having as much overlap with Jokic and Wemby minutes.

Maybe less of a mystery than usual, Tim, because unlike the regular season, his stats matched my eye test...I love Ayo, but he was not effective in this series.
Getting our asses kicked feels crappy, but I have to admit Mike's performance was fun to watch. Sure they tried to target him on defense and Castle just overpowered him once last night, but I think his smarts and quickness (yes, even in his dotage) made his defense a net plus. I'm a little surprised his PER is so high, but the other numbers match my eye test.
As for Ant and Ju, what can you say? I agree with you guys that we are not going to have to worry about Ju anymore. But what about Ant...in two years we will be paying him $55 million. I wish I could use the knee excuse like most of you here, but I'm more in agreement with Cool and (gasp) KG4Ever...not 100%, but who is at this stage of the season? None of us here are medical experts and neither is Devin Brown, but on the Locked on Spurs pod he said he had watched Ant in several games this season, and he saw little difference in his movement in the playoffs. And sadly, his postseason rankings in the 2-way analytics mirror where he ranked all season...when he was healthy. Such an incredible offensive talent, but we're never going to challenge for a chip if 25-30% of our payroll only looks good in PER. I want and need Ant to contribute like the highest paid guy on the team should.

There can't be any serious discussion about any of this if we cannot all agree that Anthony Edwards was clearly limited by injuries this post season, and for that matter a decent portion of the regular season.
We can also allow for that caveat while still acknowledging that this was a disappointing season from him and very disappointing playoff.
He's sharpened his scoring prowess to the point where I would regard him as the leagues most dangerous pure scorer, yes even about SGA, Luka Jokic. But he needs to spend this off-season deciding and honing what kind of player he wants to be in addition to that, because he has capped his ceiling if he cannot unlock the greater externalities of his game.
