That's thing about this team this third time ive had them pronounced dead to rights in my head and then they go win 5 of 6 games. Let's see if they can keep it going, they've a tough week of games ahead of them.

On the touch em all podcast they suggested a while ago the Twins should just start asking to play games at the other teams Ball parks. Lol
Both teams could have played better defense but Santana was able to work around everything and the Twins were able to take advantage.
This team still hasn't had a killer losing streak and sweeping this series was huge.
Is Boshers a guy that is someone that is good enough/not bad to be a piece of the answer of keeping this thing afloat? The bar is pretty low in expectations at this point. Heck of a guy can pitch decent for 2-3 months I'll take it.

Monster/Jester, What is Buxton's net value when you look at him as a hitter and fielder? Is he sort of a Tony Allen of baseball, meaning his defense is so damn good it almost doesn't matter what he does on offense? Just curious to know how to value him versus, say, a mediocre defensive center fielder that hits .280 with some power.

He's Kris Dunn right now. He's amazingly defensive wise. They showed a stat today where his UZR rating is higher than any other outfielder. Just like Dunn he can't hit a jump shot (aka he can't hit the ball consitently right now). Yet there hope and potential for both of them. Plus at the end of the day you can't teach speed and he's pretty damn fast.

I get where this is going but I'd just to go even farther I'd say he is an even better defensive player than Dunn who was still a rookie. Buxton might be more like a DPOY that cant score so yeah Tony Allen. Idk if a CF can have quite that impact but he is really good. Offensively if you take away that first month he isn't quite so terrible so let's see how he does the next couple months. His walk to strikeout ratio is better and he has 13 stolen bases already. He still looks lost at the plate but he has 637 ABs over 3 seasons so there is still plenty of hope for him he hasn't turned 24 yet. He is doing enough with the bat they can keep running him out there most days with the defense he has in CF. Rosario or Kepler aren't bad out there but the drop off seems massive.
Jester what do you think of Zach Granite?

Jarrod Dyson but a better hitter and not as fast. If we make a trade for a starter at the deadline guessing he's a trade chip they be willing to trade with such a crowded outfield. I know Rosario bat can be frustrating but statistically the Twins have the best defensive outfield in the game right now.

A few days ago Wetmore was suggesting Rosario might be the guy they are going to trade at some point. The reason he said that is it looks like they value OBP etc. thoughts?

I don't see it, from what I've head Sano and him are as close as LST and Mike Pelfrey I just don't see them trading our best players best friend.

Ouch! Yeah, I don't see them looking to move Rosario either...he's finding himself at the plate, and his defense is stellar.
What a series in Cleveland! Their bounceback this weekend was reminiscent of the bounceback after the disastrous Houston series...that's two examples of resilience, and resilient teams can win pennants. They still seem to have too many holes, but they're starting to make a believer out of me.
