Wait did I miss something?

Ya FNG is LST. I found this out with FNG said he tweeted at Jon K. So I looked at the tweet and the handle was LST

LST!!!!

Seriously this does make me a little happy and I'll take it after a couple tough days at work.

Can every team the Wolves need to win keep pissing down their leg? That would be great.

Regardless of the Pels winning or losing, it was always going to come down to the last game against the Wolves. Wolves win, they finish ahead of the Pels. Pels win, they finish ahead of the Wolves. It would be very Wolves-like to back into the play-in with a loss to the Pels...

Assuming the Wolves can win their final two games, it all comes down to who else can drop to 40 losses? The loser of the Laker/Clipper game will be at 39 losses. Can that team lose one more? Ironically, they both still have the Suns on their schedule!

Kek already pointed this out, but everyone is sleeping on the Warriors. They have two road games remaining where they have sucked. The first is at the Kings who still have a shot at the two seed. And the final game is at Portland, which can be a tough place to play against hungry, unknown players, who might return the gift given from the Wolves and make a game of it...

Nobody wants to help the Wolves, so it looks like they just have to beat the Pels Sunday to finish at least 8th. Whether we finish 8th or 7th, and who we end up playing, has less to do with the talent on the teams playing this weekend, and more on who will be sitting on the bench. The Lakers are going to play a Utah team who will be playing their JV, so they are certain to finish one game ahead of the Wolves. So it looks like we will be playing the Lakers in LA in the 7/8 play-in game. While we will not be favored in that game, a win is not out of the question...LA didn't look that great playing the Suns reserves last night. If we win that game, we get a playoff series again against the Grizzlies. But if we lose the 7/8 game, we will have a home game against the winner of the 9/10 game between the Pels and OkC. I see the Pels winning that game, setting up a rematch of Sunday's Wolves/Pels finale.

So absent a 7/8 win in LA, the Wolves essentially have to beat the Pels twice on our court to earn a playoff series against the Nuggets. Anybody see it differently?

It would sure be nice to win tomorrow and have 2 bites at the apple. Plus this team plays well on the road so I like their chances in LA if it comes to that.

I do too, Phenom, and thanks for your playoff rotation adjusted net rating thread...very interesting. I had a day of interior house painting today, and I had NBA Radio on most of the day. I didn't hear the Wolves mentioned once, even though every other West playoff team was discussed...we are nothing but an afterthought in the national media! These guys watch NBA games for a living, so maybe this is a strong indication that the prevailing gloomy opinion of the Wolves on this board is more accurate than my optimistic view. Very well could be, I don't know. Still, I excuse the losses we had when our locker room was ravaged by the flu, and see us more as the team that won two very tough California road games, beat a good Brooklyn team on their court, and demolished a poor Spurs team. That looks like a team that can do some damage in the playoffs, if we're healthy (but did I read that Ant hurt his ankle again today? That would suck). Maybe it's good we're being overlooked in the national media.

Anyway, I think we have a good chance of being the surprise team in this postseason.

There isn't a team in the West we can't beat in a 7 game series. Just have to play up to our potential and get some breaks. The only team you might fear in the West is Phoenix, but their depth leaves them very vulnerable.

Completely agree, cool. If we end up playing the Suns, a lot of our success will be what your guy Jay-DEE can do to Durant. The Suns record with durant is daunting. I like what McD did to him last time though.

I'm putting the cart before the horse though. First things first:

Lakers first,

then Memphis.

then the Suns.
