We have to waive somebody, right? Bye, bye Bryn?

Meh. Minnesota got the losing side here (shocker). Los Angeles just got much more dangerous because of this trade too. Double whammy.

Man, I don't think I agree... that's a pretty decent return on an expiring contract.

"Better team fit" seems to be a theme here, but based on what? What exactly makes Mike Conley Jr. a better fit?

One thing we thought would develop is a Dlo/Gobert connection, and it just has not happened as most of would have hoped. We can argue where blame belongs -- Finch, Gobert, Dlo, everyone else -- but it just has not happened. Conley is not as "loose" with ball and thus less turnovers. And there are defensive metrics that lean in favor of Conley.

Most metrics illustrate similar defensive impact, actually. Keep in mind that this is 35-year old Conley. I think many of you are confusing what Conley used to be with what he is today. Not the same player at all.

As for the "Gobert connection" I find it amusing that suddenly Finch is going to incorporate enough pick-and-roll sets into his offense for the supposed boost in chemistry to make much of a difference. They're going to remain a mostly unstructured team as long as Finch is here.

I think it is a decent move, not going to give Connely much if any praise but I wouldn't say he messed up by any means.

I'm ok with this deal. I don't think TC is done either. I've been stating (as have a few others) that DLO didn't seem to be in the long term plans. Either he wanted too much money or TC didn't like what he was seeing. Whatever it was, certainly if he thought DLO was his guy - DLO would have been extended long before now IMO. So from that standpoint, yeah - if you can make a move like this, I'm fine. We get a PG that worked well with Gobert in the past. Plus a couple draft picks and some guy named Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Now I hope they can flip Nowell and Reid. The status quo wasn't looking good enough - they had to make some moves.

Yeah, we came out better than I thought we would. NAW is intriguing and will give Nowell competition right off the bat.

And I'll join Cool doing back flips out in the snow! :-D

The damage was done over the summer. And no, he does not deserve any praise for what he's done with the roster.

NAW was intriguing a couple of years ago, but those tires have been kicked. This is hot garbage, and I'm not in love with DLo, but for this return? I hope Dlo wins a chip with the lakers. Take a hike TC!

Agree to disagree. Feels like Minnesota willingly got worse and enabled another team to get better than them (Los Angeles). This front office is cooked.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker sucks. I remember we were intrigued by him a few years ago but he's basically Nowell with tenure.

3 2's is whatever. All he really did was get the 2's he traded away to move up for Wendell FN Moore. Speaking of Moore, just give him those backup SG minutes if we're gonna struggle to make the play-in anyway.

We got Conley 5 years too late. I don't care for his connection with Rudy. I really don't. It feels like instead of assembling the best team possible, we try to figure out who's friends with who. That's how Rosas became smitten with D'Lo. I don't care who their friends are. If you win, you'll be friends for life with whoever is on the team. Friends are for whatsapp group chats.

Like I said, I'm not shedding tears over losing D'Lo. However, the shooting on the team really sucks now.
