Watching the Knicks right now, and lemme tell you, this city has bought in on what Thibs is selling and so has this team.
They may be overachieving but the more this keeps up, the more you have to wonder if there's a coach that can ever get through to this franchise.

Ball shooting, passing, and rebounding the ball better than Edwards. WTF!? I thought his shot was supposed to be broken, yet he's hitting 35% of 3's and scoring at a decent clip. He could only muster 37% overall and 25% from 3 in the far inferior ABL. But he goes to the NBA and suddenly he starts learning to shoot and score!? This would never happen in a Wolves uniform.
Meanwhile, Edwards is shooting the 3 exactly as poorly as he did in college and he can barely muster a couple rebounds a game despite being built like a tank.
Unbelievable. Well, at least this time the superior talent was drafted by an Eastern Conference team. Good for Charlotte.

Three starters at 40 minutes-plus. Thibs doing it Thibs way. Again, he's squeezing as much out of that squad as possible and that is not a sexy roster by any stretch.
Re: Around the league thread
Bradley Beal had 60 points, but he was still a minus 9 and his team lost. His team is 2-6 and one of their two wins was against the Wolves without KAT or Okogie.

Has anyone noticed how well Darius Bazley is playing this year for OKC. As you might recall, he was drafted by Utah at #23 after skipping college and entering the 2019 draft a year removed from high school. So far this season, Bazley is averaging 12 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 30 minutes per game. At 30 minutes per game, the Thunder are obviously relying pretty heavily on Bazley and so far they have a 4-4 record.
Bazley makes me think of another PF - a guy named Jarred Vanderbilt. If Bazley can play 30 minutes per game and provide produce the way he has thus far after 1 year in the League and no college experience, then I see no reason why the Wolves shouldn't give that same opportunity to Vanderbilt - especially now with KAT out and so few bigs on the Wolves' roster.

Steve Nash said he does not know why Kyrie Irving won't play tonight against the Sixers, as in, he is unaware of what KI's personal issue is. Nash said he reached out to Kyrie and did not hear back

I watched a couple of Brooklyn's early games and they were just demolishing people - looked really good.
It will be interesting if the Irving/Durant foundation holds, something I know others have been skeptical of. This team is super deep, so they are a solid team even without those two. But ultimately they can't contend unless these two are healthy - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Tyrese Maxey had a pretty good game today. Yes, that's a gross understatement. Tyrese put up 39 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals against the Nuggets.

Impressive. I kind of wonder if he just played super free knowing that they only had 7 guys to play and almost nothing to lose. Plus he was really their only shot creator available. Most of their main guys were out. What's impressive isn't how many shots he took, but how many he made.
