Man things are looking bad over there. Jimmy has been gone for over a year and the drama that's being reported is bigtime. Months ago Gar Forman was trying to draw up plays as the GM. Today Players were texting whether to show up for practice or not. Boylen going all vintage Bulls Thibs on these guys with practices. I don't know how much of this is true but...not looking good and yeah they lost by 56.

Theres no transition, and zach is in the middle of this.

One of the reasons hoiberg was fired was because he let the players, especially zach do whatever he wanted and often ignored hoibergs plays.

Boylen came in and did a 180 and wanted to impose strict rules. Of course the players are going to fight it. Zach and boyle got into an argument on the court the game before. Boylen wanted run a play drawn while zach wanted to do his own thing. Zach did make the shot though in this instance. And now this.

Boylen is trying to show management he is the anti-hoiberg.

Interesting stuff about Zach.

I just read an article saying that the anti Hoiberg thing is exactly what management wants. Gonna be interesting to see how this goes. Remember Gar Forman was on the Coaching staff when Hoiberg played at Iowa State.

"The mysterious firing of head coach Fred Hoiberg has brought along plenty of questions surrounding his dismissal by the Chicago Bulls. While judgment points to a porous 5-19 record as enough reason to part ways with the former NBA-player-turned-coach, a report by Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic explains his no-leash policy with Zach LaVine could have been the start of his doom.

Fred Hoiberg reportedly would allow players to talk back to him without any repercussions, a trend that extended from players that tried to forge a niche in the NBA, to the best player in the team."

"That validation only explains the scoring rampage LaVine has put on early in the season, constantly allowed to take 20-plus shots (has done so in 12 of the team's 24 games) despite being a mediocre shooter from the floor (43.8 percent) and from deep (30.7 percent).

That free rein caused other players to further defy Fred Hoiberg's authority, causing a chain reaction that nearly resulted in mutiny."

https://clutchpoints.com/bulls-rumors-fred-hoiberg-gave-zach-lavine-freedom/

The players also started to message each other about a mutiny and forgoing practice led by Lavine and Holiday.

Zach is trying to be a leader and being more vocal, I get that.
Boylen is trying to instill some discipline to an undisciplined team, and I get that too.

Garpax is who I dont get.

Lakers going after Ariza in a 3 way deal.

I dont see how that will work unless Pope gives up his bird rights.

Edit. Forgot who the Suns GM is, he will do his friend another solid. Ariza will probably get waived, so he can sign with Bron just like Chandler.

Good catch. It gets better.

"Don't know why it took me 20 minutes but this would also be James Jones trading a Pelinka client to his former teammate's team"

As for KCP he is basically auditioning for his next NBA team. I'd guess he will be willing to move on (waive his no trade clause) if he gets a decent opportunity elsewhere. He could also end up on the buyout market at some point even if he gets moved. I'd guess the Woj Report is adding some urgency for other teams to bring their best offer. This report says the Suns still want a PG.

The bulls are torn. They need to clean that lockerroom up.

With Lavine and Holiday leading a mutiny (https://clutchpoints.com/bulls-news-zach-lavine-justin-holiday-two-hour-players-only-meeting/), Lauri and Lopez step up for the coach.

"Sources tell The Athletic that Lauri Markkanen and Robin Lopez were the driving forces in helping the Bulls narrowly avoid a full-blown mutiny Sunday"

If you are the bulls, which horse do you back if forced to choose? Lauri or Lavine

Lauri for me. Coach is the coach.

It is interesting how much culture and environment changes a person. I would have never guessed LaVine leading the charge on something like this but now that he has his contract he has some juice.

This Bulls' news is quite sad and astonishing to me. I never thought Zach was a very good basketball player...immensely talented, but missing something significant that didn't even allow him to start at UCLA...but he always seemed like a good guy. Really easy to cheer for. The reports about Zach seem out of character to me, and I wonder what else is going on there. Almost makes our Butler drama seem tame.

It's also weird also because lavine has played for hard ass coaches in thibs and Mitchell. So boylan shouldn't be much different in theory

I think a lot of the Chicago problems begin with Forman and Paxson.

Now, does this change perspective on those folks that have stated they would prefer to have Lavine or Wiggins? I am NOT a Wiggins guy, but I have always felt Lavine was way overrated (and the money he got after such serious injury was outrageous). Just curious.
