Trade him to Utah for #24 and draft Bell
Rubio is more valuable than the 24th pick, although I get the point would be to try to sign George Hill?
If we were looking for a PG in the draft, I like the Colorado guy, Derrick White.

I'm still not feeling great about Patton. I guess it's a bit of a home run swing. His mobility could make him useful on defense, and I like his ability to run the floor, but other than that . . . I just don't see much there. His horrific FT% suggests we shouldn't hold out any hope for his shot. Maybe he turns into a Hassan Whiteside kind of guy, who sucks for years and then blows up, but . . . meh. There are other guys who would have served a role for us.
Patton has some actual skill that he showed at creighton. He showed shooting ability, has some actual post moves and has some handles for a guy that big. I'm not saying he has all that for sure but he showed some stuff in one year of college. It's not just what he did in a workout like The Verticle guys have said this weak "against some chairs". Lol
Here is a long highlight real.

I think Patton is exactly that and someone Thibs is investing in for the long haul. He'll probably get D-League reps and we will try to develop him properly. I can't possibly see him being part of the regular rotation next year. Good. This is exactly what I wanted - No rookies in the main 9-man rotation!
We do have to work the free agent market though....we've got a couple holes to fill still!
The interesting thing is the addition of Butler makes the Wolves a much more attractive FA destination than they would be without Butler!

If/when Hayward leaves Utah, do we pass them?

That video makes him look like the kind of guy Rubio could make rich! Not sure what he has on his own though.

Still comes down to Towns' commitment to defense. Butler helps. He's not the crucial piece defensively though.

I've seen it. I'm such a loser I've seen all these videos of these guys. I'm not broken-hearted, I'm just not excited either.

I'm surprised OG is sliding this far. I thought of him as a top 10 player in this draft.

He is a local kid so this is fun for me but I really don't have any significant pull towards him. We could have picked a bunch of bigs and I would have been just as happy. Like I said in an earlier post pick a guy's name out of a hat I'm not sure one guy is significantly better overall than another.
However I do think Patton did show some versatile offensive game especially early on. Earlier in the he year he was considered a lottery pick. One thing some guys will like is he wasn't a top prospect type so he isn't entitled been hyped for years. He improved so much and he looks like he can add to his frame he used to be a toothpick. How does he fit into the new NBA? He may have some aspect of his offensive game to be a factor or hurt a team that goes small against him and Whateber other big is on the floor with him like Towns.
