I wonder if Rubio, Bazz, Hill or Payne and our pick or a pick swap this year would be enough to net Nelson, Chandler, and Faried from the Nuggets?
Nelson / Dunn / Tyus
Wiggins / LaVine
Chandler / Wiggins
Faried / Towns
Towns / Dieng
Rubio / Mudiay
Murray / Barton
Gallinari / Bazz
Hernangomez / Arthur
Jokic / Nurkic
Throw in Wiggins and LaVine and our first rounder and Denver probably does it.
Dunn PG
Rush SG
Chandler SF
Faried PF
KAT C
Golden State would shutter at that lineup

Toronto is making its move with Kevin Love on the sidelines for the next 6 weeks...
Let's recap what Hennigan has done for the Magic...
Oladipo + Harris + Ibaka + Ilyasova + 11th pick ...... for ....... Terrence Ross + 2(x)th pick
[Note: As a bonus, the Magic picked up Biyombo and Jeff Green this offseason... and are paying them $32M this season.]
The Cavs are totally set they just signed a guy with experience filling in for Kevin Love for an extended chunk of games...Derrick Williams.
Great breakdown of those Orlando deals. I do think the return they got back for Ibaka wasn't terrible especially considering the financials but it's not inspiring either. The good news is Aaron Gordon can probably go back to playing PF although I think he might be able to play SF but the way the game is played right now it may not make sense. Having a guy like him able to play PF defensively could be a terrific asset.
Yep. The entire Ibaka/Biyombo thing was made even more puzzling because it moved their most promising youngster out of position.
Hennigan = Kahn?
That's a pretty damning equation and the Magic have at least drafted better. If you get bored. You can go through the Magic's transaction history and make a decision. In addition to your breakdown they turned Redick and Ish Smith into... basically nothing since they dumped Tobias Harris who was the player they got back in that deal. They seem to be good at finding some NBA players and then dumping them or letting them go for basically nothing.

We should have the Magic on speed dial for sure. Odd moves.

I don't know why teams aren't lining up more to deal with Orlando/Sacramento.

Have they drafted good though?
Gordon is still just potential, not seeing all star though
Hezonja has been terrible
Payton a bottom 3rd starting PG
Oladipo, role player on good team

No they haven't drafted good enough (gave up 2 picks to get Payton) but drafting better than David Kahn is like stepping over a file folder. Sadly in that regard the bar is set pretty low.

Not wrong to want the Wolves to have ORL and SAC on speed-dial. But in each case, blame the owner. I'll save my SAC tirade for their next screw up.
ORL had a nice roster of young players, then they brought in Magic Icon Scott Skiles, who hates young players. That started the downward spiral. Whose decision to bring in Skiles? All Richy D. And he's having a great run. Blackwater's role in Iraq. His moron daughter heading the Department of Ed. The Department of Justice demanding full disclosure by MLM companies, thereby driving that business down the toilet. And the Tragic.

What would it take to get Drummond? Would he and Towns work well together?

Yes they would be great together but they don't have the assets to obtain him

In theory, Drummond makes a lot of sense because he's big, strong, and can rebound the hell out of the ball.
Offensively, he occupies too much of the paint because he doesn't have to be guarded outside of 10 feet. That takes away space for both KAT and Wiggins, both of whom like to go to work in the paint.
Defensively, while I think his mere physical presence is helpful, I question how good he is guarding in space. He seems like the kind of guy we'd end up sitting in every close game since we'd want a much more mobile 4 and KAT would have to move to 5. Not to mention the free throws.....
And I'm still not too keen on Reggie Jackson, although he makes a little more sense now that LaVine is out.
