I didn't see a first round pick included?????
That's a deal breaker for me, not to mention sending back a bad contract.

This is incredible news! I take back everything I said about you guys overvaluing Love...it turns out you were actually undervaluing him!
I have to hand it to Flip for waiting out the Cavs until he finally got what he wanted. He is a cold-blooded poker player.
Rubio
Wiggins
James
Dieng
Pek
I don't think the salaries match up. Too bad.

Hmm...Only LeBron and Wiggins? I was hoping we'd hold out for Kyrie too.

Am I the only one that thinks it's possible Cleveland is trying to gain back a little leverage by this news getting out? It's either that, or they have verbally agreed to a deal that will take place in 30 days. No way the Cavs would sign Wiggins and give other teams 30 days to make a deal for Love.

Long time reader back on ESPN and occasional poster, but I think with this news leaking there must be some kind of movement of the trade front. The teams probably felt it would be the most beneficial to have wiggins' salary be reflected in the deal instead of involving a third team or giving up more assets. There's been lots of good vibes from Doogie, AP Jon, and especially Barreiro, who many think his source is flip himself. They all have a good feeling about a deal getting done and they all have their sources I'm sure. I live in Cleveland btw and I think it's interesting that once the Wiggins may be on the table news came out it has been pretty quiet on their front with nobody, especially loudmouth Gilbert, shooting down reports. Let's hope a deal is close and they are just working out the finances.

Cool -- I don't think the Cavs are leaking anything for leverage right now. I think the two teams are well beyond the posturing stage and are simply negotiating ancillary details related to future draft picks, peripheral Wolves players like Brewer and salary match issues. The Cavs are not going to take the risk of losing out on Love at this point, so I suspect an agreement in principle is already done. The silence is deafening right now. As most of us who follow the NBA closely know, when things get this quiet after a flurry of rumors it usually means something is about to happen.

Yeah.. really quiet, but with tweets like this earlier today..
Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson
Yes, sir. RT @ThisIsMich81: @DarrenWolfson To your knowledge did/are #TWolves/Cavs talking through the weekend?
Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson
Don't necessarily disagree. RT @GJacIII: @DarrenWolfson we're getting wiggins. It's a matter of time. #twolves
Darren Wolfson @DarrenWolfson
3rd possibility: main PF acquired separately. RT @TheSportsminn: @DarrenWolfson we get Bennett & Wiggins... both start or start Dieng at 4?
Jon Krawczynski @APkrawczynski
Yes there would be a 30-day waiting period if Wiggins signed. But a deal could be agreed upon and then made official in a month.

Bennett's closer to Derrick Williams than he is Charles Barkley... as a pure talent.
Cam - I'd say we're pretty far apart on this one. :)
Comparing a player to Barkley is VERY high praise for any player. I watched him when he was a young player for the Sixers. He would rip down a rebound take it coast to coast like a guard and dunk on 2 guys ripping down the rim. It would be like Boris Diaw having Blake Griffin's athletic ability and you would get close to the raw talent that Barkley had. It was crazy. He could have been a decent PG when he was young he was VERY very skilled and very athletic. Imagine if he would have done strength training! Lol
I agree Williams issue is whatever is in his brain but I also think he is actually lacking in skill as well. Compare him to Beas in everything except maybe man post defense and Beas looks like he has the skill its only his brain (and some nagging injuries) that hold him back. Williams has issues with his jumper finishing around the rim, his handle is just decent and his body control is pretty meh. Its not just between the ears for Williams he is deficient in basketball skill too although that may be related to his brain but his skills are lacking no doubt imo.

I pretty much ignore Doogie. I like that he engages in Wolves-related conversations via Twitter, but he doesn't appear to have any meaningful sources. So he just speculates like the rest of us. And i don't put too much stock in twitter anyway. It's generally just a forum for conversations until a bona fide reporter with real sources tweets a scoop. Krawczyn is a bona fide reporter with great sources and integrity. His tweets remain subdued. The talk among national media types has fallen off substantially in the last 24 hours. That's what tells me something serious is brewing (pun intended).
