Yeah, that is a pretty shocking win by the Lakers and unfortunate. I really don't want to see them make the playin tournament. Just go away!!!
A nightmare scenario for us Wolves fans (or at least me) is to face them in the first round, as the mainstream NBA ecosystem (e.g. ESPN, TNT, the LeBron sycophants, the League Office) is going to be 100% rooting for the Lakers to upset the Wolves. If someone is going to beat us in the first round, let it be the Pelicans or Sacramento. Please God, just not the Lakers!
I’m totally with you on this, Q!

Clippers, OKC, Pelicans and Kings all won tonight with Denver on their way to beating the Blazers. This was not a good night to lose to Orlando at home.

No sir it was not. We still haven't totally bought in to team basketball on the offensive end. Make the extra pass and get some easy points for chrissakes instead of banging your heads against the wall all the time.

Jokic with another ho hum 27 pts 22 rebs 12 assts and 2 blk game. No big deal.
He’s incredible but Denver’s lack of depth and Porter and Gordon’s inconsistency is gonna be their doom.

Hartenstein has been playing terrific basketball for the Knicks this season and has really stepped up in Mitchell Robinson’s absence. Tonight he had 12 points on 6-8 FG shooting, 19 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block and no turnovers. The Knicks gave up nothing to get him, instead signing him as a cheap free agent. They signed Brunson and he’s been fantastic. Those plus other moves have me really impressed with the Knicks front office.
Rosas is one of the best on the business. That’s a fact
Kek, I admire what he has done in New York, but as we lament our lack of a suitable backup to Mike Conley at the trade deadline, let us not forget that Rosas let Tyus Jones walk so he could focus his efforts on dealing for D'Angelo Russell. I'll never forgive him for that.

I'll add that he gave up Andrew Wiggins who was a key starter on a championship team, and a currently blossoming Jonathan Kuminga for DLO. Just a horrible, horrible move. Thankfully TC was able to fix it.

And remember that Rosas was all in on going small and quick. The trade for Rudy was completely anti-Rosas.

I didn’t like the DLO deal or letting Tyus walk at the time and I still think those were bad moves with hindsight. I didn’t like Rosas’ re-signing Juancho. And he made a huge blunder trading up for Garland and then talking Culver. I didn’t like the Bolmaro pick at the time either. Actually, I didn’t like the McDaniels pick and wanted Rosas to take Bane. Now with hindsight I can see that Rosas and I were both partially right.
In the end, the Edwards pick forces us to forgive a lot of what Rosas did wrong. The McDaniels pick has also turned out to be savvy as were his decisions to sign Naz and JMac as free agents. I thought Kek’s comment praising Rosas was a bit tongue in cheek, but I’d say Rosas is pretty darn good. TC made the big Gobert move, but he’s really living primarily off of what Rosas handed him — including Ant, KAT, Jaden and Naz as well as all the draft picks and player assets (Vando, Pat Bev, Beasley) TC used to get Gobert. This is still Rosas’ team for good or ill.

Wasn’t meant to be young and cheek. I think Rosas was an elite GM when it came to drafting/roster building. I mean he traded Covington for Beasley, Vando, the pick that became mcdaniels, Juancho, etc.
He had off the court issues but he was a really good GM

OK. I wasn’t sure. But while I’d stop short of calling Rosas elite when he was here, I believe he was very good. This Wolves team, which is tied for first in the West, is largely his team. I was sorry to see him leave. He never would have made the Gobert deal and would have instead continued to build organically. When he made mistakes, he was able to move on from them with good deals to improve the team - moving Juancho and Ricky. So I’m a Rosas fan and you have to be impressed by what he’s done with the Knicks.
