Yeah the Browns are making some good moves adding you talent and they need it. Sometimes it helps being at the bottom of the waiver wire. I'm sorta pulling for the Browns to at least be relevant because they are winning some games at some point in the future.
My guess is Jake Long is healthy, but concern is how long he will stay healthy. Sitting out basically all of last year had to help. Ravens wanted to sign him, but he wouldn't' negotiate on injury waiver. Not sure what that was about, but I am sure he was thinking if I come to camp and bust my ass I want to at least know I will be paid.
I wasn't buying into the Jake Long rumors because they only had about $50K in cap space, but somehow they must have convinced a few players to restructure their contracts, because they got it done. He says he feels better than he has in years, but who knows how much he has left. But you can't overlook the fact that he was once a #1 pick, and when healthy, has been a dominant offensive lineman. I don't know how Spielman got it done, but I'm happy he did. Maybe Long becomes our LT, Clemmings moves back to RT, and Sirles becomes much needed depth.

The way Clemmings has played he might be the depth guy. The most overlooked news was that Willie Beavers is practicing at Tackle so all of our problems are going to be solved.

I feel like somehow I missed that the Vikings had basically no cap room left. When did that happen? Thought they still had a decent chunk even after they acquired Bradford. If they are up against the Cap (obviously they are since Spielman said so) that's kinda troubling if they have any more injuries.
I am thinking there is no way that Long is not better then Clemmings and is starting the next game. I wonder if we would be better off with Boone moving to RT. Sirles looked good playing for him there and I think Sirles has better odds playing well at LG then RT.

No, it was before signing Long, bleed...here's the article talking about it:

Bredzinski must have restructured some contracts to clear the space. I wonder who...Peterson?
