Even worse, apparently he swung and missed 2 times before finally making contact with the cop...
oh, that's precious right there LST.
What a shame....this guy could have been really good, but it seems like he's just a sloppy, undisciplined oaf.
One thing I feel certain about is that this is one time he didn't strike out looking...

All you know is Sano will look you dead in the eye and lie to your face Molitor. I believe Molitor even said over a year ago Sano says all the right things but he just is going to tell you what you want to here.

On the manager front. I have not heard much. 6 open jobs and it sounds like we are ranked 4th best destination, but that is very subjective.
It will be interesting to see if Molitor lands a job. I could see him chilling for a year and figuring out if he wants to work again.
It sounds like they are really doing a search for a lot of guys and yeah the fact that there are other teams looking makes it more interesting/challenging although I'm sure there are some guys that each team isn't really looking at.
How much credibility does Molitor have as a manager? It seemed like the last 2 years he had the team over achieving. I would argue that last years performance as manager was even better than 2017 based on injuries, bad signings, and regression of key players.
Where am I going with this? Will candidates be reluctant to come here after he was let go?

I agree that Molitor has probably overachieved a couple years. To one of your points...has Molitor had a bunch of interviews for the open manager spots? I haven't seen anything. Twins seem to be casting a pretty wide net. If someone doesn't want to come here they will find someone who does. Compared to some of the other sports a number of people question how much the manager in baseball really moves the needle and...how they move the needle.

Not that I know of either, but could see him taking the year off unless something perfect comes up.

I guess part of my point is...if he was so highly regarded why isn't he getting a chance at another job. Sure he could be taking a year off idk. He is 62 he isn't getting younger.
I was thinking the same thing, but I am sure he is pretty selective at this point.
I saw this and found it pretty interesting. Ryan Pressly basically saying our analytics here are subpar. Isn't that what this front office is supposed to excel at?

Well...Pressly did make a significant jump this season to be one of the most wanted relief pitchers on the market this summer while a Twin. As Wetmore kinda points out maybe the buy in was a little different once he gets traded to a world championship franchise who has a terrific rep as helping guys. The Twins are what 2 years in at trying to become that type of organization? It might take some time.
Meanwhile one of the games and situations against Boston it seemed like if you had your Andrew Miler type reliever I couldn't figure out why the Astros didn't put Pressly in that situation and the game got broken open. I was only watching the condensed game so I'm only questioning so much but yeah.
