Some pretty impressive highlights. Thanks for posting. It would be a great shot in the arm for the Wolves franchise is Spag can become our own version of Manu.

I don't think he turns out to be anything (maybe a Jmac type player) but I would rather have him playing great overseas than average or bad. So it's a good sign

Some NCAA teams are interested in Matteo Spagnolo, as anticipated by @eurodevotion.
He also has a valid multi-year contract with Baskonia. Situation similar to that of Quinn Ellis, as reported earlier.
Letβs see what happens in the next few weeks...

Would his draft rights still stay with Minnesota?
Edit: I just saw the Knicks maintain James Nnaji's rights.

That's interesting. I'm sure a college team could be plenty excited to get him. He isn't lighting it up or anything but he is playing in a very good league. He turned 23 last month. He would be a pretty big guard for college.

NEWS: Italian guard Matteo Spagnolo, the former No. 50 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, is exploring his options to play college basketball next season, his agency @excelsm tells @247Sports.
23 year old that was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Spent the 2025 season with Baskonia (Spain) and never played an NBA game. Averaged 8.0 PPG, 2.7 RPG and 2.2 APG this season in Liga ACB.

lol @ playing for a random B1G team being better than being benched by Finch
we should draft and stash our 2nd rounder and have him kill it at a mid major.
