You know I been talking with friends lately but what value would you get for Naz Ried? I just think he's a terrible fit for this team.

I think out of our young guys he's the most expendable and this team doesn't need a Kat lite as it's second center. I know he was only here for short while but I rather have Monroe get ting the back up mins instead of Reid.

If I could get a team to give me a first-round pick for him, I would consider moving him. I don't think there's a team willing to do that right now. I think Naz Reid can be a valuable piece off the bench for the Wolves and it's being lost in his poor play as of late.

I'm sure Charlotte and Toronto would love to have Reid. Teams are probably better off trying to sign him as a free agent, though. I just don't see many trade opportunities involving him.

I agree, Jester. I think he has pretty good trade value as a talented young center on a really team-friendly contract. I'd like to see the Wolves pair him with an expiring contract like Prince in a deadline deal for meaningful rotation vet - either a big with size or a wing with length.

I think the scoring wing would be nice but Id still like a traditional big that grabs boards. If Sac is selling Richaun Holmes would be nice.

How do you feel about Wendell
Carter Jr?

Naz/Prince/layman and 2 2nds for Carter Jr and ross?

That would be an intriguing deal for Minnesota, but it isn't nearly enough for Orlando, in my opinion. I also don't think it achieves the goal the Wolves should have by adding a tweener forward type.

Rumors are that Dallas might make Dorian Finney-Smith available by the deadline due to some worries that they won't be able to retain him after the season. The same was said regarding Jalen Brunson. If that's actually true, go ahead and add Doe Doe to my list of trade targets.

Wait, Dallas is 5th in the West and have a top 10 player just entering his prime. Why on earth would they be dealing out good role players that can help them win now and make some noise in the playoffs, even if there might be some tough decisions in the offseason?

He'd be great, but I'd think he and his agent would expect him to be a starter. So we'd probably have to move Vando to the bench. If this were the beginning of the season, I'd probably be 100% for that, but now I'm not so sure.

It feels like we need an upgrade to Naz - someone bigger and that can bang in the paint without drawing a whistle every time he touches someone. It's gotta be better than Ed Davis or Robin Lopez, but may be not quite a Wendell Carter Jr. or Rashaun Holmes. Something in between. Just don't know what that list of bigs looks like and who is obtainable.

That's exactly what I asked myself when I first saw the article. I'd bet they end up keeping both of them, but in the case that DFS is available...

Michael Scotto: "A lot of executives around the league expect either Dorian Finney-Smith or Jalen Brunson to be possibly on the move by the trade deadline since it'll be tough for Dallas to keep both players going forward and avoid the luxury tax. Regarding Finney-Smith, several teams, including the Hawks, Trail Blazers, Pacers, Wizards, Pelicans, and others have kept tabs on him, I'm told."
