That is good. Not feeling good about Reiff with a back issue. I have a lot of hope for Hill though. Good to get him a lot of work early.

Wow - This is some good news. Isidora being able to win the starting job at RG would be huge boost to this team.

It's great he is doing well but the idea he is going to start over Berger I think is reading way too much into the situation. The guy from Vikings update said they are taking it easy with Berger giving him some time off. Isidora beating out the other guys for those 1st team snaps? Is that really that impressive? Idk let's say this guy is looking pretty good and just go with that.

I think it makes things even more interesting at center. Basically you have Easton, Elfein, and Isidora competing to start and Berger will play centet if Isidora wins.

Top 10 to make an impression In Mankato. It seems like a couple of guys didn't make the list that I hoped would.

The other day I was thinking if you were an NFL team doing your draft research and you were able to call and talk to Jim Harbaugh and he absolutely praised a guy like Ben Gedeon I think I would put that as a legit positive. I don't see Harbaugh BSing around (talking a guy up just because it looks good or whatever) and he knows what he is talking about. I'm not suggesting that's why he was picked or where he was picked by the Vikings but it could have been a factor.

It's interesting that Adams and Coley have been the guys Zimmer says are the best so far as they are basically the least experienced of the other young WRs fighting for a spot.

I think Ben is a top notch lockerroom guy and potential leader if he can back it up on the field. I would trust Harbaugh too. Did the Raven's pass on him?

I am not as excited about the 5th or 6th WR on this team, but just don't see Wright making the team and think it will be hard for the guys from the practice squad last year to make it either.

Remember Wrights position coach gushed about him a few weeks ago. Maybe another guys passes him up but I kinda doubt it. I actually think this young group is plenty intruiging. IMO the WR spot is actually a pretty deep position at the back end of rosters in the NFL.

Projected Cuts:
https://www.dailynorseman.com/2017/8/5/15995162/vikings-projected-cuts-depth-charts

Surprises to me:
Sirles - He was thought of as a starting RG before the draft.
Tom Johnson & Shamar Stephen - I could see one, but not both.
Emmanuel Lamur - More disappointed than surprised.
Antone Exum Jr. - He has been playing CB and S. Is Jack Tocho that good?

I stopped reading after they had Keenum cut.

I'll add that it seems like my thought of having Sirles move over to LG to be some sort of insurance policy at LT has some merit since that is where he played when Hill was injured. I don't think you can get by for more than part of a game or MAYBE 1 week with him there but having him as an option if disaster strikes wouldn't be the worst idea. I'm a Sirles guy but honestly I would be pretty shocked if he doesn't make the team. He can fill in at least decently anywhere along the line except center which is likely the deepest spot on the line. Having a guy with that versatility active on game day is pretty valuable and this line isn't exactly stock full of vets beyond the projected starters.
