There's almost zero push up the middle, and we've got 1 DE who can rush the passer. Tie that with the fact one of our safeties trying to play hero-ball. The Vikings will get better on defense, especially if/when Hunter comes back.
There was a report that a Dr told Hunter not to play again this year. My guess is he was a fan of tanking for Trevor Lawrence. Lol

Let's do it. A Vikings tank?? First time for this?

Yeah or it's been a really long time. Vikings are too competent for a total tank.

Simple math you have a ~3% chance for any team to win in any season. So if you have 4 tickets in a year that's roughly a 12% chance or so any team could win. Now multiply that over 30 years. Yes I know we didn't have hockey for a bit too. But man it's long odds to NOT win in 30 years. You should probably win 1 every ten years or 3 in 30. Rough estimates of course.
Blame the crappy market and shitty cold weather I suppose. ):
I wish I could agree with those odds, but unfortunately, all teams don't have equal odds. I've never seen the Gopher football team play in a Rosebowl and I've been alive more than 50 years, even though odds are they should have played in about 5. The Wolves are a terrible organization, and their chances are close to 0% as long as Taylor, Rosas and company are in charge and even post-Taylor, the odds are probably much worse than 1 in 30 that they will be able to assemble a team that can win a title, given the long history of free agents shunning the Minnesota market. I don't follow the Vikings or Wild, but neither franchise has won a title before and would think their odds are worse than random chance. The Twins are the only team that has won, but that was long ago before the big spending era hit baseball and the Twins also had luck on their side as they won titles despite not winning a single road game in 87 and 91 as the AL had the homefield advantage.
Certainly the market and weather are major factors along with crappy owners as well. Not every team has equal opportunity to win a championship now or 10 years from now. Players will pick warmer climates and lower income tax states for sure. Texas and Florida have an advantage. Bigger cities have a little advantage as well like LA or NY.
I was merely pointing to how inept our owners are even if we are behind the 8 ball when it comes to climate and taxes.
What you might have seen tonight in the Vikings game is what I'm talking about regarding their bad culture. They always find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And they've been doing it for 43 years. I don't think anyone is surprised, in fact most probably expected it. It's just become a fundamental part of the franchise and it plays itself out over and over again, year after year.

Yes I expected that loss too. Very cringe worthy. I don't blame the coaching decisions here just another choke job by the Vikings. They dominate the game but then give them the win. Classic.

Maybe. Certainly some memorable NFC title games fit the bill. But every once in awhile...

And then they go on to lose to Nick Foles the next week by 34 points after going into the game as the favorite
Yeah, for every "Mpls Miracle" type story, there are at least two or three back-breaking losses. Think missed short-distance field goals where an otherwise reliable kicker choked. Why us? This happens to this franchise seemingly all the time.
At least the Vikings and Twins are reasonably competitive most seasons. And the Vikings especially have had some real star power over its history - almost iconic players that were nationally highly regarded. They just always end up coming up short in the end....
The Wolves have been relevant for just a small handful of seasons, otherwise their mere existence has largely been forgettable.
