Bjelica might one of very few Wolves players whom turned out to be the best player available for his draft position. Only Lance Stephenson has had better career than Belly from the players picked behind him but he is already out of league and Belly is still improving at least based on his stats.

Easily Pekovic for me.

Both Dragic and DeAndre Jordan are much better than Pekovic and were selected later in same draft.

Sure. But there were 10 - 12 players drafted ahead of Pekovic that were considerably worse.

All in all... a pretty damn solid pick by Wolves standards.

...and could have been select by the Wolves at #34 (Chalmers) but we traded the pick for multiple 2nd rounders.

Khan secured the 5th pick with Randy Foye and Mike Miller. He drafted Rubio, then fucked up after. Nobody can deny that. If Rosas misses twice in a row, trading up once, can anyone deny he is not worse?

Yeah if that happens. Meanwhile Naz Reid and Jordon McLaughlin undrafted rookies looked about as promising as a bunch of Kahn's draft picks. Remember Lazar Hayward? Kahn was handed quite a few picks and traded Al Jefferson for 2 more. After all that we basically ended up with Rubio and Bjelica as worthwhile players during that period. That's a pretty horrendous draft record I hope no Wolves Executive repeats again.

I do not disagree that Khan sucked. But coming with an argument of JMac and Reid is rather weak. Frankly sad as a fan.

Rosas has an incomplete grade.

But he'd have to be fucking awful to compete with Kahn for overall ineptitude.

Kahn was an embarrassing, over-his-head (but convinced he was smarter than everybody) type of GM. And that's the worst kind. If it gets to that point... we can walk through all the moves one-by-one for a comparison. But we're not close yet.

Agree with Abe. We have the benefit of seeing the results of Kahn's total body of work years after he left. Rosas is still a work in progress along with the players he's selected and dealt for (with the exception of Rubio and Ed Davis - they are what they are at this point).

Kahn gets zero kudos for the Pekovic pick, he was a lottery pick if not for his contract situation which turned him into the first pick of the 2nd round. I remember a lot of chatter over that pick with multiple teams wanting a chance to select him with a non-guaranteed contract.

Not mention it was a McHale pick... :)
