I agree Khans, that's type of wing thats a big need for us. It would of been interesting to see O.G. on this team to be that wing on the second unit and potentially play with the starters at a small ball 4, not the prototype small ball 4 offensively yet, but he can potentially check every position on the floor.

Great report and fun game to watch. They were playing with some real confidence out there, I thought, especially Crawford for a stretch in the first half. I'm not sure that confidence was always warranted, but you could see how he's capable of putting up a ton of points when he gets hot. I mostly like how he facilitates and seems to energize the fans and the other guys on the team even when he's taking shots.

Crawford's ability and willingness to create and civilians for others has been a nice development. He will have a bit of a double edged sword effect I'm guessing because he will be taking away shots and opportunities from other guys. On the other hand Dieng Bjelly Tyus and Bazz while they have some abilities offensively I'm not sure any of them has the real ability to come down and make something happen every single possession. Crawford is the combo guard this team hasn't really had since maybe Mo Williams? He can handle the ball and get buckets. The really good news is his 3 point rate. It's one of the highest of his career.

I agree that Crawford really energize the team when he takes the floor. Just a great personality and presence. And he's hit a lot of big buckets to ignite the team as well. He's turned out so far to be a much better playmaker/passer than I expected him to be. But the downside to Jamaal is that he's really streaky and can be as ice cold for stretches as he is red hot in other stretches. He also tends to get a little cocky and careless with the ball sometimes. He did that late in last night's game. Unfortunately, I would expect his 3-point shooting to regress to the mean, but I'm still glad we signed him.

Hopefully when Crawford cools off Bazz can get something going. Very different players but hopefully Bazz can steal a game or two this year

I agree, Kek. I don't see Bazz continuing the struggle offensively all season. He's a natural scorer and eventually I expect him to break through and help the Wolves win a few games they wouldn't otherwise win.

He's a natural scorer, but not a natural shooter or defender. Those are probably the two things we need most in our backup SF. I know it's hard to get in one package, but he's neither. His defense is better now than it was a few years ago, but he's still not very good. And his constant hunt for offensive boards kills us in transition defense.

I agree with all your points about Bazz, although I think you're underrating his defense. But what really makes Bazz such a liability right now is that so far this season he's not even performing to his abilities as a natural scorer. And while not a natural shooter, I still expected him to improve his perimeter shooting. So far this season, it looks like his 3-point shooting has regressed. I'm convinced he'll play better as the season progresses, but I agree that he's not exactly what we need off the bench.
I wonder if Anthony Brown might eventually end up in the Wolves rotation later this season. He is definitely a natural shooter.
