But in all seriousness thanks for being fans of this team. This board is great and still love being a member here even though we suck.

If the wolves are ever good I don't know what is going to happen

Ryan has 3 5+ losing streaks this season 4 overall. Has a chance to have 3 10+ game losing streaks this year.

Also wolves have 3 wins vs teams over .500 this year

That's true Kek but Thibs was solely focused on winning, sometimes to the detriment of the future. Whereas Ryan and Rosas are focused solely on the future, often times to the detriment of winning. It's two completely different postures.

Annoying but completely fair. I just want some type of hope. I wish we had thibs desire to win with a more personable person.

I will say though Rosas has traded future picks then thibs did in his 3 years

There are posters on this board who would have this franchise in far better position today if they had been given the chance to make personnel decisions. The incompetence over the years has been alarming to say the least. And I frankly don't see much improvement any time soon.

I would say pretty much anyone could of done better (in no way am I saying they would be good).

I mean you and Cam are on the complete opposite in philosophy and I would say both of your guys plans would have the wolves in a better place. (Once again not saying the job is easy)

I don't use drugs but the wolves are like a drug for me. That and poker are my releases (I'm a lot better at cards then the wolves are at basketball)

- Jauncho continues to reinforce my belief that he is a horrible fit for us.

- Beasley can shoot from 3. He can rebound his position well. Otherwise, I got nothin'. Hard for me to see laying out $15M+ for that even thought that is probably fair value. We just don't have enough 2-way players.

- Reid has come back down to earth big time. He was really bad tonight. Makes the Spellman issue even more frustrating.

- Martin did some nice things tonight which had nothing to do with shooting. And that's a good thing. His hustle makes it hard for me to want to move on from him, even though I think that is probably the right thing to do.

- JMac was awful defensively. Got blown by too much.

- Add Dallas to the list of teams easily able to regroup and become very competitive again in a fraction of the time it's taking the Wolves to do the same under multiple regimes.

I saw the box score, but didn't watch tonight's game. I don't know what to say. Russell scored 29, Beasley scored 21, Johnson scored 19 and the Wolves scored 123 total points on 44% shooting. Yet the Wolves lost, giving up 139 points on 50.5% shooting and getting out rebounded 54 to 42. So why did the Wolves lose? Hmm.

Can this team be a contender down the road with DLO, KAT and Beasley as our core three? I don't know. If KAT and DLO can improve at least a little bit defensively and if the Wolves add just one very good defensive big to play alongside KAT, then I think the answer is yes. Even better if they add a 3 & D SF. Oh, and I think we need a better head coach.

Consider the following: Assume KAT played tonight instead of Naz. And assume a defensive, rebounding big played instead of H-Gomez. Those two things, with nothing more, would have likely eliminated most if not all of the Wolves 12-rebound deficit. Simply eliminating that rebounding deficit would have put the game within reach even if the Wolves' defense wasn't better in any other respect. But if the other big alongside KAT was truly a good defender, I think this game probably would have been close. In other words, as frustrating as it must have been to watch tonight's game, this team isn't that far from being a playoff caliber team with the potential to be more.

Draft Wiseman or Okongwu. Sign Jerami Grant. Replace Saunders with Vanterpool.

Lip, that is a very glass half full point of view. You are a true fan. We are a dwindling breed.

I thought you were going to say delusional. :). Thank you for the more charitable characterization as half glass full.

Seriously, it's really hard to judge this team right now. The organization's focus is obviously on the future, not the present, and it shows in the team's personnel management. We can all see that the coaching staff is focused on evaluating and developing players more than winning. In addition, as much as I like Ryan Saunders, he's simply not a very good head coach. Yet, while the losing continues, I see a better brand of basketball from the Wolves since the Feb. trade deadline. I'd like to see this team with a defensive big, an off season of practice together and a better head coach.
