Always tough when you're a non playoff team without a draft pick. Just got to pin your hopes on Edwards continuing to develop

You're right, Bloop. Rosas is amazing. He's built a team that (1) finished with the 6th worst record; (2) has no draft picks; and (3) is barely under the luxury tax threshold after already exceeding that threshold last season. That's the trifecta. Congratulations, Gersson!

No pick, Wolves stuck with Wiggins #22 need to get off to start a new chapter and Rosas was in Houston in love with Harden lefty so DLO fit the bill with all start caliber so opportunity raise got to jump on it that offseason Rosas wants DLO so bad but got DLO wet feet.

How long till Beal gets traded? The yearly NBA shakeup has begun. Beal, Simmons, Lowry, Siakim. There's likely more who will come out of the woodwork too.

That pretty much sums it up. And it's damn hard to do,

The Wizards front office remains a mystery to me. It was clear to me a year ago that they needed to start a rebuild. Yet, they stuck with Beal and traded for Westbrook. OK, I guess I can see giving it one more season with Beal. But after last season there shouldn't be any remaining doubt that it's time for the Wizards to move on and start over. They already have a couple of good young players in Deni, Hachimura. But they need a lot more young talent, including a young star or two to blend in with Deni and Hachimura. They didn't make the playoffs last season with Beal and Westbrook, so I can't see them making the playoffs with the current roster, including Beal, and whoever they might pick up in the free agent market. Beal is in his prime, coming off perhaps his best season ever, and he's healthy. He's also in the last year of his contract, after which he becomes an unrestricted free agent. This summer is definitely the time to trade him. He'd bring in a slew of future 1st round picks and a talented young player or two to jump start their rebuild.

So yes, Beal should be moved this summer. If he is, then that would make things interesting and might open up an opportunity for the Wolves to end up with Simmons or Siakam as part of a three-team with the Wizards. However, the Wizards front office is apparently run by an odd bunch who don't seem to act more sensibly than our own Gersson Rosas.

Isaiah Jackson got traded to Indiana. Could make Turner more available.

Could be. With Rubio gone, any package for Myles Turner would have to include Beasley or DLO. Since Rosas seems wed to DLO, Beasley would be the one who gets moved.

Let's remind ourselves that about a year ago the Wizards had a crazy expensive PG coming off a serious injury that was likely a pretty big negative. A year later basically they turned that guy into KCP, Kuzma and Harrell. All of those guys are likely positive assets they can either keep or trade. They could move a couple of those guys for a player to put next to Beal. They need a PG but KCP (turned 28 in February) might be a guy that could bring him a decent option back by himself. Harrell if they keep him could give them a really big boast as the per minute numbers are still there for him.

For the Lakers this is an interesting move. Idk how Westbrook fits with Lebron but he fits with AD and he give that team a certain edge. Lebron won't have to do everything on offense if he is actually capable of letting go of having the ball he could be devastating as a more complimentary player with Westbrook running around and passing to Lebron for shots. They have some roster spots to fill but they are going to be a big time destination for guys wanting a chance to play and win. Personally I'm intrigued by this move for a bunch of reasons and in somewhat the same way I felt about Chris Paul finally getting his shot I want Westbrook to get his shot at a Title also.

Westbrook to LA should fit well in my eyes. Think about how competitive Russ is and you put him on a team that will really push the pace up and down the court. That should lead to a great season for Westbrook by doing what he does well and being able to be a 3rd option in half court sets.
