Anthony Davis got great this season and will make the playoffs for the 2nd time in 9 years.
Kind of the same thing for Kevin Love, he couldn't win a game for Minnesota, but then he carried Cleveland all those years winning an NBA Title.
Weird.
This is Davis 8th year and will be 3rd year in the playoffs including sweeping a playoff series. Also huge difference between Klove and Davis compared to Lavine. This will be Lavine 5th season out of 6 where his team has been better with him sitting on the bench then on the court

I think you implied that lavine was as good as davis and love by comparing their situations.

I think he was implying that LaVine was a superstar but couldn't win games. Like Kyrie in Cleveland (pre LeBron) or Devin Booker in Phoenix.
I was more or less making fun of the idiocy of expecting one guy to carry a team. Not even Anthony Davis can do it. As much as the NBA is superstar driven, you need more then one guy to be successful. I don't think LaVine is a superstar though, he's an above avg player on another bad team. Like KAT here. Is KAT terrible because the team is losing?
I think the LaVine hate is simply by guys who are trying to prove a preconceived notion that trading him was the right move. When in reality Wiggins was the guy to move, not LaVine. Actually I wouldn't have resigned Wiggins but kept LaVine.
Put Wiggins on that Chicago roster and I don't think they are winning an NBA Title or would they? lol

No I don't think lavine is a superstar and wasn't applying he was. But I do think Lavine is a below average basketball player that has a tendency to have toxic behavior to coaches.
Just these threads come up usually when wolves are struggling and people act like the wolves would be in a great spot if wolves wouldn't have made the butler trade.
Lavine is a Jamal Crawford, can put numbers but dosen't help to winning at all. Probably could be a 6th man but makes a shit ton of money but Ithink it says a lot that in 5 of his 6 years his shitty teammates perform better when lavine is on the bench. Lauri is solid but has flatlined since his rookie year and I'm guessing would struggle with Kat especially on the defensive end. And Dunn is a NBA backup PG.
I just think it is funny that the same people who are so against bringing in Dlo would take lavine back in a 2nd even though there advance metrics are similar and Dlo has proven his team is capable of making the playoffs with him as the go to scorer.
*I'm not saying I would trade for Dlo

You fail to mention the drafting of Doncic since without Butler and LaVine injured the Wolves are picking top 6-7 maybe top 3.
Sure it's not guaranteed at all, but would have been a possibility.
Take that into your metrics and eat it. :thumb:
