Those are interesting names. Both guys could help shore up our interior defense. I think it depends on whether we can draft someone we really like at our spot. The Sixers have three first rounders including picks 24 and 26. Noel, 24 and 26 for Bazz, Dubs and our pick is another idea.

Another deal would be our pick for Boston's picks at 16 and 23 and Olynyk. Another one would be our pick, Dubs and Bazz to Toronto for Demarre Carroll and picks 9 and 27

I don't know what we would do with 2 more first round picks. Aren't we young enough? It's time to make a move to bolster our young roster and accelerate our maturation. Either keep the pick selecting BPA, or try trading it for a young, proven vet who can be part of our present and future.

There's very little reason to include Dubs in any trade. His value isn't at a point where he'd help a trade a whole lot and frankly he has more value to us as a potentially cheap rotation player when we could need him in a couple years.

I also don't think we need multiple rookies on next year's team. We need veterans. If you factor in us keeping our top-five pick, that would give us six players 23 or younger. That's more than a third of the roster. We need to be adding seasoned players, not more project players. In a draft like this, I'm not thrilled on the idea of having multiple players from it.

We are young enough, but we can get veterans in free agency. Its not so much about youth as it is securing good young talent on rookie deals. We have Payne, Rudez, Smith, Prince and an open spot that could all be upgraded with veterans or with rookies. I think you can find future NBA rotation players in the late first and the early second round. The draft is weak at the top (outside the top 4 players), but deeper than normal.

#5/6 for Nerlens Noel is interesting. However would be virtually impossible resigning both him and Dieng when their rookie contracts expire after next season. Noel will probably command a max contract if he keeps improving.

I know Cam would be all for it.

The more I watch how these teams in the playoffs go to 4 wings/guards and a Center, the more it makes sense to me to find lengthy/rangy defenders that can guard in space. This is where WCS and Noel are intriguing, because they have the length of a traditional Center, but the mobility of a wing. It's a wonderful counter to teams that go small, because we can basically stay big with KAT + Noel/WCS without losing mobility.

The pick trade I'd love to do is with Philly for Covington and a future first (either Lakers ot Sixers pick), Covington is that versatile combo forward who can defend and shoot 3s and gives you options to go small at 4 or big at 3. He's not a starter but a really good bench player and he fits our age group. Plus having a future pick coming is good for team building and flexibility. He are kind of full with young talent atm so adding one this summer is not ideal. In a year or 2 we may know better what this team needs.

Payne is on the roster next year, we could trade him but no promise we can get rid of him. I am so against adding multiple rookies that would be on the roster next year

Yep that's one of the reasons why Pek simply doesn't fit this team going forward. Too slow, can't jump and now with his lack of lift struggles to get above his defenders to score. He was never athletic, but after his latest setback it appears he's lost what athletic ability he had.

Completely agree with the mobility aspect and guys like Noel, WCS or Adams would be a great fit.
