Teague does nothing for us other than piss kat off.

Wow. That's a telling moment. But it's typical. Watching Teague has frustrated the heck out of me since he arrived. As I've pointed out before, Teague's failure to move the ball and hit open teammates is far more apparent watching him live than it is on TV. But Teague is Teague. It's ultimately Ryan's responsibility to make sure he puts a team on the floor that moves the ball and gets KAT the number of touches an offensive star should get in the NBA. And it's the organization's responsibility to find a deal for Teague by the Feb. trade deadline even if it doesn't bring back more than a second round pick. I'm fine having Okogie instead of Rubio. But this organization needs to move on from Teague.

What's becoming clear is that this team is still KAT and a bunch of other guys. And while I'm happy to be rid of Thibodeau, I'm not particularly impressed by Ryan. Someone mentioned that he's over his head and I fear that's true.

The good news is that a few of the other guys on the roster (Okogie, Culver, Layman, Reid, Nowell) are young with significant untapped upsides. Another piece of good news is that Ryan is young and could still develop into a good head coach. But he's made some head-scratching moves that make we wonder whether he has the ability to be a good head coach. One ongoing example is his failure to get this team to give KAT at least a minimally acceptable number of touches in the 4th quarter. Another example was Ryan's decision to leave Teague on the floor at the end of regulation in the OKC game. The Wolves needed two things at that point - rebounding and defense, which are the two things Teague is particularly poor at. The play call was apparently for KAT to miss the shot. That meant it was imperative that the Wolves be able to at least compete for the rebound. Otherwise, the name of the game for the Wolves was to prevent OKC from scoring in the last second of the game.

I mean he has 21 1st half points. And Ryan awards him with 6 FG attempts (which 1 kat created his own with a putback)

I didn't watch the 2nd half, knowing it would likely deteriorate (and as predicted, it did), so didn't realize this. That's incredible. It's coaching malpractice to see this happen repeatedly with one of the most gifted offensive big men to potentially ever play the game. You find a way to get him shots. Period.

I only saw the 4th quarter because of work. I saw Kat had a really nice stat line. Then Benz said 3/4th way through the 4th he only has 6 2nd half points. So I looked it up and only 6 (8 including getting fouled) shots when the game was over

Apparently wolves had a meeting after the game to voice frustration they are having. If they lose a couple more in a row I can see it getting very toxic quickly

Of the top 20 scores in the NBA Kat is 19th in FGA. He is 5th in pts. Need to find ways to get him more shots

Ok, let's get even angrier. In the last 10 seasons, here are the list of big men seasons that have averaged more shot attempts than KAT in has in any of his time with the Wolves:

LaMarcus Aldridge - 20.6 FGA - 2013-14
DeMarcus Cousins - 20.5 - 2015-16
Anthony Davis - 20.3 - 2016-17
DeMarcus Cousins - 19.9 - 2016-17
LaMarcus Aldridge - 19.9 - 2014-15
Anthony Davis - 19.5 - 2017-18
Anthony Davis - 19.0 - 2019-20
Amare Stoudemire - 19.0 - 2010-11
Al Jefferson - 18.8 - 2013-14
Joel Embiid - 18.7 - 2018-19
Anthony Davis - 18.6 - 2015-16
Kirstaps Porzingis - 18.5 - 2017-18
Anthony Davis - 18.3 - 2018-19
DeMarcus Cousins - 18.1 - 2014-15

---------------------------------------------------

KAT is averaging 17.4 shot attempts per game this year.

---------------------------------------------------

Now if you take that same 10-year data set, guess who has the top four TS% seasons? KAT, KAT, KAT, and KAT.

He is one of the great shooters in NBA history and we can't get him more shot attempts than Al Jefferson!?
