I had to rub my eyes a couple of times because I just could not remember seeing a Wolves team so locked in like that. The Spurs were clearly rattled and simply don't have the one on one virtuosos to overcome such smothering defense. DeRozan and Aldridge were both made to look pedestrian at best. It was a clinic.

When I was watching this game this morning I was think about you Q and was hoping you wouldn't rub your eyeballs out of your sockets. Who are these guys?!?! You said it well at the end it was a clinic.

Great wrap up fellas. When was the last time we kicked the crap out of SA? Pre-Popovich?

I'm watching the marvelous 2nd quarter right now. Everything good, of course, but I'm questioning something Jim Peterson just said. After another three by Rose, he raved about Derrick's play and suggested he might be our second best player right now after KAT. I thought about this for awhile, and then thought: "hey, what about RoCo?". KAT and Rose have been terrific to say the least, but there's no question in my mind right now that Rob is our MVP, and probably our best player. Sure, he's not the offensive star the other two are and KAT is improving rapidly on defense, but you can't ignore the fact that this team completely changed the day we traded for RoCo. In addition to playing great himself, more than any other player on our team he makes other players better...by far. Look at the second unit...they were difficult to watch pre-Rob, but now we don't lose a beat when they come in. Gorgui in particular has greatly improved since the day Rob pulled him aside going off the court for a timeout after a nice run and said "you made this happen!"...Gorgui's game has been transformed since that moment. That's leadership...and even better, he shows leadership by example.

Yes, we would not be as good with KAT or Rose out, but as by far our best leader, best defender, and pretty solid on offense, Rob Cunningham is our best player right now.

Yeah, I'd go RoCo, KAT, and Rose, in that order. After that it gets really muddy. I never thought I'd say that about Rose. The upgrade from Crawford to him could not have gone any better. Rose is better offensively and less bad defensively.

Exactly my order, Q. And the great thing is, other than Wig who is struggling right now, the other guys in the rotation are all playing really well...and we have Okogie and Tolliver behind them. Whatever magic Rob worked on G, I'd like to see him replicate with Wig...the guy has way too much ability to be struggling on the offensive side the way he is now. We don't need him to play like a max player (although it would be nice), we just need him to return to what he was before this season.

I think you're analyzing one comment a little too much. I'm not gonna break down my opinion of who's worth more because I'm sure that will be debated at length on the board, and it doesn't matter. But have been awesome. Jim Pete has done nothing but rave about RoCo and Rose, rightfully so, but keep analyzing...

I was watching the Spurs anyways and Sean Elliott basically yelling get off my lawn complaining about guys taking too many 3's (it was actually kinda funny) but my guess is Jim Peterson was more suggesting Rose's offensive game. The guy has been absolutely incredible. I was a Rose believer (thought he could have legit scoring value) but he has gone well past my optimistic expectations.

So if Rose keeps this up, what kind of raise will he want next year? And if Teague opts in, then Tyus is probably out.

Good question. I'm still skeptical that Rose can keep this level of play up AND stay healthy. One or both are going to fall off at some point, but it's just a matter of how much. Regardless, he has vastly exceeded my expectations.

But your question is why I'd be desperately trying to shop Wigs and unload that salary. He will never come close to living up to his deal and it is hamstringing us big time from investing in other positions (I think Okogie is perfectly capable of stepping in for Wiggins now, without too much of a dropoff).

So many questions about Rose past this year. How much of a raise does he deserve? What will he expect? Would he be willing to take less? Will Thibs be his coach and will that matter if Thibs isn't here? What's Rose health look like? What level of player does Tyus look like when the season ends? There are so many questions with so many things yet to play out even though I am HIGHLY intrigued about Rose past this year we really just need to let this play out. I still think one way or another Teague could be somewhere else next season.
