Let's just say Gorgui's awful game wasn't even a product of Gorgui himself.

I want to bring it up also, it seems like tolliver is complaining about playing time on Instagram.

Nice win today...first win on the road, and now only 2 1/2 games out of the playoffs. Rose continues to be amazing offensively, although his -10 was worst on the team. Towns was unstoppable whenever Jarrett Allen was out of the game. All starters were terrific except Wig. He continues to show that he is even sleepier in day games than night...seriously, Thibs should rest him in all day games if he's going to play like this. I'll be interested in hearing Wildwolf's report about Gorgui, because Jim Pete was raving about him (except for his missed long 2's)

I thought Wiggins was ok. Offensively he was bad but once again his defense was good.

Now he isn't a max player no doubt but I have felt the energy has been there this year

Wiggs defended well both on man and help. He also did some of the small things that wont show up on the boxscore.

Outside of looking for his own shot, i thought dieng was also good. He had a nice defensive sequence in the 1h where he provided great help and rim protection.

I thought Gorgui played well. He just needs to hit that open12-foot shot. That shot used to be far more reliable for him. He hit a corner three today. But mainly, I thought his defense was very good tonight. And as usual, he played with great energy. Rose was tremendous.

As for Wiggins, I'll have to watch the game again. I was with family and wasn't able to concentrate on the game. Wiggs looked bad offensively, but it sounds like he defended well from the other posts on this thread.

Rose had 25 points tonight. His scoring was critical to the Wolves win tonight. The Wolves almost blew a 17-point lead after 3 quarters, allowing the Nets to pull to within 3 in the 4th. The Wolves needed every single one of Rose's 25 points.

This leads me back to a point I've made before. This team is way too dependent on Rose. He is having something like a renaissance in his career this season. I love it and I'm a huge Rose fan. But he and KAT are our only two reliable scorers and Rose is an injury of leaving the Wolves with only one. And at age 30 with his injury history, we simply can't count on Rose as one of our top 2 scorers down the road. I love what I've seen from Covington, he's not a scorer and he's not someone who can create shots for himself and others. Actually, Rose is the only good player who can reliably create off the dribble. This team needs an elite offensive wing or PG who can create his own shot and make his teammates better. We don't have that guy on our roster unless Okogie substantially improves his shooting.

So the Wolves are going to have to be very smart or lucky in the upcoming draft or make a really smart trade before next season to get that second elite players and scoring threat to pair with KAT going forward.

Since the jimmy trade, we have had the 3rd best defense in ther league. Small sample size, but thats still a 3rd of the season so far.

I think our defense can get even better after a pg trade because rose is unfairly put in a situation of guarding wings. And opposing teams go after him.

We are dependant on rose because he's the one guy thibs' offense is geared to. We don't generate 3pt looks or transition points. If one is available, sure. But we don't run plays for it. Cov, saric and even wiggs can take those trailing 3's. But how many have we had since the team started practicing? Id say none.

Our guys are more suited to ball movement abd space and pace, so, yeah, we will continue to rely on rose while thibs is in charge.
