It was very strange. Dario was a huge part of the comeback but then he got benched with 1:30 so Wiggins could play the 3. I didn't like the rotations at the end of the 4th. 2 pgs is fine for the bench unit but we got to be able to play with some length when we need to. Quite a sad display tonight at the end of the game, but ultimately it rests on Thibs. I hope Taylor is ready to stop the bleeding, this team isn't going anywhere.

Like I hate to say it but i'm cool with rose going forward
No coach can come and believe in Rose the way Thibs has and expect to have credibility here.
It's like all these years of trying to build around a player only for it to be 30 year old Derrick freakin Rose instead of the 2 guys you gave max money to.
That's not to say start Teague. Teague at this point doesn't belong here anymore and it shows, but it goes back to giving away Rubio to run to the altar to get Teague when all this time we knew Thibs really wanted Rose. The biggest free agent this team has and will ever have just hasn't worked.

Get on the Jaylen Hands bandwagon as soon as you can! Otherwise this draft, regardless of selection will be a miserable one. It's just not big at the spots we need now.
The Teague we all saw tonight was exactly the same Teague we saw against Memphis. In fact, it's the Teague we've seen more of this season and much of last season. But he no longer has Buter around to bail him and the team out with the shot clock expiring. Now to be fair, much of it is Thibodeau's offense. But Teague exacerbates the problem. Even Tyus Jones has a more positive impact than Teague on the team overall and the pace of the offensive specifically.
Thibs just needs to let them play freely on offense. Im convinced that he doesnt know what hes doing at the end and is too reliant on individual talent to get by.
Hes way too controlling on the court and players look out of sorts. Its no surprise that the more we practice, the worse we get on offense. We are back to tough offense. Teague dribble for 20 minutes where he passes it off to someone for a contested jumper. Or pass it to KAT and let him iso. Those are the only 2 plays we ran with our starters. And if Wiggs wasnt camped at the 3 pt line, he was back to trying to iso. Where was the cutting? The post up? Give due to Covington because he made some contested shots, but teague refuses (or its by design) to draw and kick or pass the ball up on the break. I think we'll see covington eventually run less down the court because Teague will NEVER man the ball up.
Our defense has gotten better, so got to give thibs some credit.
