Don't the Wolves have to unload Teague eventually with KAT and Jimmy coming up for Maxes/Supermax. Unless Taylor really wants to run into the Red, IDK if it would pay off with more revenues and of course just maybe a finals appearance eventually.
I just hope our front office doesn't have to give up other assets to unloa Teague. That's my concern. I believe Teague's talent is so out of line with his contract that he can't be "unloaded" without including other assets to entice the other team into taking him. I hope I'm wrong.
Like I posted in the Hawks GDT. We could already be at the lux tax. With just gorgui, jimmy, wiggins, towns and teague. And that dosen't include tyus extention, Belly if you want, Patton, possibly taj re-ups. Cap hell is 2 years away hope we don't trade our picks because of it. Cap hell on the horizon
Yes. And that further underscores the poor judgment signing Teague to the contract Thibs gave him. It's important to avoid a situation where you have to give up assets to take salaries off your books. The 3rd year option for Teague should have been the term that caused Thibs to say no and look elsewhere or keep Ricky.
