I wonder if they would swap Nance for Bazz to clear cap in the offseason. That would free us up to potentially trade Dieng this summer for a real 6th man.
Nance only makes 2.3 million next year. Remember Bazz has player option for next year so it would likely have to be Brooks instead. I'd guess that the Lakers would want some sort of asset for Nance as he likely has positive trade value. Remember you have to pay someone a few hundred thousand for 13 roster spots. Maybe he is a sweetener to take on Clarkson or something. Just for fun I will mention CARMELO projections loved Nance going into this season. He is 18th in RPM for PFs. If they are basically giving him way from nothing yes I'll take him and I would say that regardless of the advanced stats.
If we could offload G to a third team so the Lakers get the cap relief they want, I'd take Clarkson and Nance off their hands right now. Clarkson can replace Crawford long-term and Nance is a nice glue-guy.

I'm just a fan not a budding GM like the rest of you but I have always loved Corey Brewer's attitude and I think he would be fun and occasionally effective to have coming off the bench. I believe he is in the last year of his contract - is there anyway he can be acquired without giving up anything of significant future value? Cole and a 2nd? Cole and Bazz?

Cole and Bazz for Brewer? Yes please.

Belinelli is the one guy I think would be perfect for this team, but Atlanta would probably want the OKC pick in return.

Taped #Twolves owner Glen Taylor for the next podcast. He said trade talk with his squad is pretty dead. Also no plans to sign anyone anytime soon to a 10-day. The FO is actively looking at the buyout market. Curious to see who else becomes available in the coming weeks.

It seems given the health of the squad (relatively speaking) and our better play of late, I can understand why there would be reluctance to make a move. Thibs has been playing Bjelly more minutes at the 3. If he comes around eventually, that really helps solve part of our wing depth problem....a big IF though.

Agreed. Really about the only contract they have to deal is Aldrich and he still has 2 million guaranteed for next year so that only makes him so appealing especially if it's for a rental guy. For example the Lakers aren't taking on Aldrich in any deals for a guy they can just let go after this season and owe them nothing. Also Teague is questionable to return against OKC. I'm honestly not surprised based on that video I saw from the other night.

On an earlier post about NBA deadlines I had that the last day for 2-way contracts to be signed for the season was January 11. That is incorrect it is January 15th. Sorry I deleted the wrong event from the dates leading to the error.

Can we get Randle from the Lakers please? Love this kid and his toughness. He might be a total asshole, because I can't explain his lack of playing time there any other way.

Also can we fleece the Bulls again and get Mirotic for nothing? I'm sure the Bulls want no part in dealing with Thibs again.
