I hope the wolves staff took the time to read this in order to implement some changes.

Thanks for posting, CC! This is a brilliant article. I think it's the definitive critique of Thibodeau as a bad coach and poor PBO. The article also properly holds Glen Taylor accountable for leaving McHale in place too long to effectively build around Garnett. It's frustrating to see history repeating itself with Glen's decision to hire Thibodeau and his current delay terminating him.
Not only should the Wolves staff read this article; they should hire the writer, Jonathan Tjarks, to work in the front office.
Finally read this article. It is a good one. It also highlighted the contradictory nature of Thibs, who talks so much about defense, yet then goes out and acquires non-defenders like Crawford and tries to sign Shabazz to what would have been a horrific deal a couple offseasons ago.
He seems to have a weak spot for iso-players that can create their own shots, even if it's not the most efficient variety. It's why he got rid of Rubio for Teague and why he's been a reluctant Tyus Jones backer.
Go look at the Tyus/KAT player pair lineup combination from the last couple of years. Those two should be on the floor together way more often.
Correct. And Thibodeau is too controlling and stubborn to hire and rely on a top assistant to design and run the offense.
Having guys that can iso and get their own shot hides thibs' inability to implement a team offense.
Lot of ripping of thibs offense for the wolves finishing in 3rd place in the category.
I'm curious to see what the offense looks like this season and here are some reasons for optimism.
1. I think Butler is a terrific player and is a very good offensive player BUT he also fed intro he ISO stuff a lot especially at the end of the game. He also was rarely running up the floor to make the game a fast paced one. Inserting a different player other than Butler into this offense could add 3 point shooting increase the pace and add some more ball movement.
2. The starting lineup excluding Butler will have had a entire season to have more of the hey I know what this guy is gina do likes to do etc. on top of that they will likely all have a bit more of an increased role which could help everyone. Teague is a key again.
3. Thibs has brought in guys that will be depth prices that actually make sense for a team looking to share the ball more etc. Rose is the exception but I still see the potential for him being a guy that helps others more than Crawford.
4. I'm curious to see what Thins is going to do in general with his offense. I think he is actually looking to do more things that pretty much everyone on this board wants to see in terms of rotations mixing and matching guys etc. We have to see it first to believe it but I have a sliver of hope. Do I think it will be enough? Probably not but I'm hoping it moves in a positive direction.
Monster -- Your analysis is really good and I agree with it. But I have absolutely no confidence in Thibideau changing his ways and doing what you're suggesting. And honestly, I still can't believe Glen Taylor is keeping Thibodeau around for another season.
There is just enough reporting (and the guys Thins added) to give me a little hope and just looking at Thibs physically he has dropped weight in an offseason that supposedly was supppsed to be very stressful. That makes me wonder if Thibs has made somewhat of a change on his outlook on life in general and that could spill over to his basketball as well...which seems likely since basketball is pretty big for him.
Here is a real question though...does Thibs make some adjustments defensively? SOME of the problems on that end has to be on Thibs. If he does more switching and gets the guys he has to be a middle of the road defensive team.......well
.......this team is gonna score and where we are likely to miss Butler more is on defense. Defense is how this team can make a big leap and possibly even still make the playoffs. More switching which Tolliver* reported they worked on some would make a ton of sense. Thibs has said things before that he really didn't seem to follow through on so like a I said about the offense we need to see it all before we believe. Doing switching everything on one of the first days of camp sounds like something you plan to stick with though. You wouldn't imagine Thibs being a guy that decided to do something experiemental on one of the first days of camp. Again I don't think Thibs will be the guy for this team going forward but I can hope he isn't a complete disaster in the meantime. :)
*Tolliver looks like he will be the vocal feel good and smart vet this team needs. He is completely confident in his abilities and absolutely understands the game and is gonna tell you how he sees the game etc. He seems like a guy that's gonna be holding court for the media all season long.
