Game Report - Wolves vs. Knicks
Re: Game Report - Wolves vs. Knicks
If we want to win regularly we need to get plus performances out of at least two of our 'Big 3'. Problem is only one out of three seems to turn up most games.

Towns is still my guy, but I can't disagree with the posts above. He's trying to put the team on his back at all times and he doesn't have to. That's what was supposed to be so great about this roster -- having three players that can take over, especially on nights when one is hotter than the others. He's just pressing and it has been pretty noticeable. The good thing is that I don't think it'll continue. I just think the pre-season hype fed his ego too much, KG retiring and essentially telling him it's his turn now (I hate the KAT video where he says, "I've got it from here."), and the overall expectations for the team weighed on him. As soon as he settles down and starts focusing on the team's flow on both ends of the floor instead of about how HE can get them the win, that's when we'll actually start winning.
As of right now, LaVine's my No. 2. For good or bad, ultimate confidence just radiates from that guy. I never feel like he's shaken or unable to handle the moment. I never feel like he's scared to take a big shot. On top of that, I'm getting spoiled and thinking every time he shoots, it's going in the hoop regardless of how difficult the shot is or how it's being defended. Obviously, part of that is the fan in me, but the other part is that we've already seen him come up big and make tough plays plenty of times in his young career. The guy has stones and you just can't teach that. You either have it or you don't.
Supreme athleticism + High skill level + Confidence/Fearlessness = Greatness. For Towns and LaVine, I feel like they have all of these attributes. They're going to be fine in the long run.
