Unless you are ok with an Aaron's brooks level guy those fring backup PGs pulled in 10 million or more last year and the price may go up. So trading Rubio for cap space may not get you space just space to sign another player which could be good...but there is no guarantee either. There may be a value/bargain guy or 2 but will he want to come here and will the Wolves want thim? I think I would rather Keep Rubio than dump him for cap space because like it has been said the Wolves will have plenty. His contract is pretty reasonable and it will keep looking that way as time goes on.
I would take Patty Mills over Rubio. But I wouldn't be heartbroken if we kept him.
I would also. My guess is he stays with the Spurs though unless George Hill decides to go there or something but then he would have options. It's kinda hard to see the players like Mills or Hill that I would REALLY want going here deciding to pick the Wolves over the other destinations. That's more because the other options are really good not just because the Wolves haven't arrived. Plus Dunn is here so...it's not like it's a no-brainer that you will be the guy long term.

Mills is Unrestricted and making 3 mill. I don't think San Antonio will offer him 12. But I get the point. I think him not getting a major contract yet could be a factor. If we have cap space we can be very competitive with the money we could have.

What you look like in a Spurs uniform is not a good representation of what you would see here.

I don't think that's as true as it was years ago. A couple more recent examples are Cory Joseph and Bynes who have been plenty successful after leaving.

Perhaps, but I think George Hill and Cory Joseph are good examples of SA guards being productive with new teams.

I was thinking about this too but the guy is a good shooter though and through.
