Good points in this thread Q. On the defensive end Butler would HAVE to play SF where a lot of times he gets to play SG or even plays some PGs while Wiggins defends many of the SFs. There are some not particularly dynamic SFs that Lavine could probably D up but having Wiggins this year has let Butler be more versatile as a defender. You likely wouldn't get that long term with Lavine next to him. The offensive fit of Lavine and Butler is obvious and talked about plenty.
